Hi there, BLers! I used to come to Bluelight sporadically when I was using to look up answers to my questions. Now I'm in recovery since October 2011 and I'm just wanting to reach out to others who may be in a similar situation. For that matter, I would want to reach out to others in different situations too because I believe we were put on this earth to help each other.
I've been married for over 16 years and we have a son who is newly 15. Sometimes I feel very close to my son, and other times it's like I hardly know him. I'm sure that's probably true for a lot of parents of teens. It always gives me hope when people who have kids in their early 20s tell me that they do come back around and act loving again. Little boys love their mommies. 15 year old boys love their mommies too, but often don't show it! Lol!
I am very lucky to have two wonderful stepkids from marrying my hubby. Both kids (boy and girl) are now in their early 30s, married, with 2 daughters each. So I get to be Gammy! A very important designation!
Right now I work part time as a nanny for an infant, but I'm also working on classes to become certified as an addictions counselor. It will take a few more months to get the classes done (there are 7 in my state), but I'm also contracted to work for the infant's family until September 2014.
There's the tip of my iceberg! I look forward to getting to know some new folks here!
