Hey - to all you DJs out there - maybe you all can help me out here. (people w/o computer experience need not reply)

I have a fairly long audio file - about 60 minutes worth or whatnot, and i'd like to cut it up so i can just stick it in my car CD player and skip it forward by tracks. (basically, i'd like to add tracks to it).

But currently the only way i have of cutting up the file is manually copy/paste a segment at a time using Cool Edit Pro.

Any ideas?

erase the 2 second gap and you should be cool, unless your car cd player reads mp3's then you can just burn the mp3 as a data cd

Nono - it's a strait through 60 minute file with no breaks - just imagine a big mp3 file. I just want to divide it into tracks so i can select where to play it from.

i think nero has an option for splits, it's in the filter options i believe, it works like cut and paste but alot better

Thanks puzzle - yeah nero has it - the interface isnt as nice as CEP - but it does its thing.

also 74zk....you can use wave breaker...you just have to enter times where you want the break...only drawback is you gotta have the file in .wav format
