wait a minute, listing dj's is dumb, how about i just say this, if your not on main stage @ WMC, or featured @ Sensation, DanceValley, Love Parade, or ID&T events your a nobody in my book. Doesnt matter what all you can do at the same time.

I disagree. Talent ALWAYS comes from the underground. Where do you think those people playing on the main stages started? Djs who CHOOSE to remain largely unknown are cooler in my book because it tells me they are in it for the right reason: the music. Not the fame. Also, a lot of DJs get lazy when they get famous and start sucking.

true, but then agian it also comes down to the point of, if your are largely UNKnOWN then your talent is not as what one may seem. just because you play large events dont make you lazy, or in it for the fame. hell i talked with ferry corsten in houston one of the coolest guy i've talked to in a while, doesnt make him a sucky dj. i understand your point, i can honestly say alot of dj's arent in it for the right reason, but then agian there are alot of local talent, midliners, and headliners who arent either. actually it's everywhere, not just the well known people.

you dont choose to be known or unknown. im sure most 'underground' djs would kill to be more well known and play more national/international gigs.
 
Sure, they all would at first. It's part of what gives them their drive. All I'm saying is that of the DJs who reach a higher level of notoriety, some do the whole jet set superstar thing and others remain undeground, producing the tracks that these jet set DJs play every night. Some do both. I guess I just respect someone who stays true to what they loved about it from the beginning.
