My apologies, I forgot to finish my reviews!

The Ianator
9/10

Now, unless you're in on the SoCal party scene, I dont expect you to know The Ianator, and even if you're in on the SoCal party scene, unless you go to any Do Lab events, I dont expect you to know The Ianator either. Ive been going to Coachella for years now, and since The Do Lab always has an installment there, The Ianator is always there. Every year I catch his set, and every year im blown away.

Ian never fails to play the best house tracks, and his mixing is really on point. His music selection is always the old school and underground filter house and house tracks. A fresh set, set aside from all the other new house artists who cant play a decent old school track to save their lives!

Ian always has fun while he's mixing, and never stop smiling, singing, and taking shots of tequila ;)

I also gotta commend the man for only mixing vinyl with no computers to help. Always great mixing as well! The only reason there is a 9 instead of a 10 is for the occasional mix up in beat matching, but its a hard job working with vinyl only and no computers, so I dont blame the man! In his 3 sets over the Coachella weekend this year, I only heard one mess up.

I cant wait to see him again sometime soon!

MiM0SA
8/10

Well, I almost missed this set, and didnt stay for long, but I gotta say, it was probably one of the funnest sets I saw all weekend! MiM0SA didnt show up on time for his 7:30 set, but when he showed up later on, his set was in full force, bumpin like nothing before. The entire crowd was moving, and it was one giant party! The crowd gathered on the stage, and people were having a blast! The music selection was nice. A great mix of his own mashups of glitch and dubstep, and dubstep itself.

Although I dont find myself that much a fan of Dubstep any more, he definitely made me get down with the wobble like it was 2009 again.

Shit, he made me like the dubstep tracks more than Rusko did, and Rusko's the Dubstep star!

I wish i would have stayed for longer, but Thom Yorke and Plastikman were calling.

I cant wait to see him again!!!!

Eskmo
10/10

I dont rate people 10/10 very much, but this man deserves it. Ive listened to Eskmo for a bit now, and loved him straight off the bat. A new, odd sound, that tickles the senses, and lifts the body and soul into a new world. I was elated to say the least to see Eskmo on The Do Lab line up, as now I would finally see the man behind the music, doing his thang.

One thing I loved was that he set up his instuments so that the crowd could see exactly what he was doing. I thought that was very awesome of him to do.

Working with midi controlers, synths, keyboards, and computers, Eskmo put on a show. Song selection and production were great. Much like how Flying Lotus puts on a show by mixing in samples, Eskmo mixed in his samples around his live music production for us all to be amazed by.

With every song, I found myself smiling, dancing, and screaming for more. I think I danced at Eskmo almost as hard as I danced at Bassnectar, and I danced at Bassnectar pretty damn hard.

He really got me when he played From The Standpoint. That first sample came in, and I lost my shit. Everyone around me knew I was in a state of Nirvana. A sublime state of bliss.

I couldnt wipe the smile from my face, and everyone around me knew it.

Sadly I had to leave early to catch Flying Lotus (which was equally great), but damn, the time I spent seeing Eskmo killed me.

I will lose my shit and have to change pants twice when I see this man perform again.

[Sidenote: He also rocked the house the next day with his alter ego, Welder.]

2ManyDJ's
7/10

This was my second time catching 2ManyDJ's, and I really enjoyed their set again. Wasnt blown away, but I definitely loved it! Their VDJing is always fun to watch, and they really know how to rock the crowd with their mixing and sense of humor.

I gotta say, my favorite part to the set was their mixing of Positif by Mr. Oizo.
Not only is it one of my favorite songs that I looooove to hear, but they added their humor to it to make it extra fun.

With every "vous et des animaux" that came up, they changed it to "vous et des *insert animal sound here*"

They used an elephant...a duck I think...and a few others. I was dancing my ass off the entire time laughing histarically.

oh man, it was pure win.

Overall a great performance, and I was sad to see that so many people chose to watch Tiesto (lame) over them. Oh well...more room to dance for me =D

DJ Lance Rock
8/10

For those of you who dont know, DJ Lance Rock is from the hit kids show, Yo Gabba Gabba! Now mix in a tent full of druggy festival goers, hippies, and kids, and you have yourself a super fun set in the making!

It was like being inside the television show, and It was absolutely amazing. There wasnt any real mixing in the set, but he played all of his hit songs from the show, and brought out all the characters to help us enjoy the set as well as have some fun on stage.

It was definitely one of the funnest sets ive ever been to!

For those of you who also dont know, the show was created by the lead singer of The Aquabats.

And there we have it folks, the end of my Coachella experence. Thanks for reading all my posts!

Saw AL P and JFK in april. Absolutely fantastic. Played a killer set, pretty much all of their best songs. The only thing missing (which I found out afterwards) were new songs. They've been working on a new album and from people who have been following them, I found out that the show I went to was the only one recently that they played no new songs. Get vibe, great sound, great show.

Infected Mushroom

Saw them a few days ago at higher ground. They completely killed it. Duvdev had complete control over the audience and over the band. I felt like everything was happening because he wanted it to. If he said something, you listened, like he always had something important to say. I'm personally a huge fan of his voice. Seeing them live is so difference than hearing them, like many bands. I really enjoy their studio productions, too, it's not that exactly. Both studio and live work is amazing. They opened with Becoming Insane, which I thought was awesome. They played all of my most favorite songs. I personally didn't like Legend of the Black Shawarma or Smashing the Opponent until I saw them preform it live. It was breathtaking. There was so much energy in the building when they started playing (and it was already crazy when I showed up about 30 min. before they went on). It was one of the smoothest transitions from band to band I've probably ever seen. I asked my friend about their show in NYC which he went to, all he said was, "They didn't play heavyweight." I was excited and wanted them to play heavyweight more than ever. I love that song, it's my favorite, probably (at least it was until the show, now I have so much respect for some of their songs which REALLY kill live). HG is a venue that is sort of known for allowing encores (albeit usually short ones), so I had high hopes for their encore. As soon as they leave the stage, the lights stay dim and I start shouting out "HEAVYWEIGHT". Soon one of my friends joins me and I hear "HEAVYWEIGHT" from different parts of the crowd. They come back on and BAM. RIGHT into heavyweight :) I was MORE than pleased. They ended with the best song they could have, probably one of their most mellow and chill songs, but their most intense. It was wonderful. I already decided to travel 6 hours to see them in phily. Best live performance I've ever seen (worked at a music venue for 3 years and I go to shows a lot, so I've seen a lot of live material). I felt like I was being controlled by duvdev, but it wasn't a bad feeling. It was like he was going to take me into his own world and take care of me.

ANDY C in NYC

[Drum and bass]

I had a BLAST!!!!!! Got there at 1, right as he took the stage. His set was on point, it was one of the best sets ive heard by him. Although i was slightly disappointed by GQ not showing, armani did a great job as MC. The sound did seem a little bleh, but when i went towards the dj booth, and behind it the sound did improve, as well as the view lol. Odi's set was good too. I heard a rumor that andy C played dubstep but i was smoking a cig so i was outside and didnt hear so i can't confirm or deny it!

Meeting andy C after was soo cool lol he gave me a hug and thanked me for coming, i made a joke about the insane bus ride and he countered with a joke about the 9hour plane ride.

one of the better parties i have been to this year imo

PS. it was confirmed that he played dubstep. FML

BASSNECTAR

BRILLIANT SHOW. He played a ton of great songs, the energy was raw and wild. Just out of bisco and he didn't give a FUCK that he just played at a major event. The crowd was great (except for a sketchy guy trying to buy drugs from me and my friends). Everyone was really nice, it was funny to see a bunch of bags piled up throughout the crowd. A lot of respect was at the show. Want to see just how awesome and crazy it was?

My friends and me were right in the front, we had plenty of room to dance and have fun. And yes, I did dance with the person in the third video. It was awesome and funny. I danced with someone wearing a blue man suit, that was even funnier and more awesome (less creepy lol).

^ ^ I don't hear many people say they are dissapointed when they leave a nectar show. Lorin is consistent with the quality of his sets but keeps things fresh. Sometimes you will hear a rage against the machine remix, maybe a metallica remix, smashing pumpkins, beatles, nirvana.... you can hear it all in a 2 hour time frame.... plus the energy he puts into it, and he interacts with the crowd, and gets people going. When I saw him at ultra people danced harder than for him than any other performer... and that was over the two days. I love how on his official site you can request him to remix a specific song for the show in your city, so he can basically create any kind of beat or remix.

ps; I will be updating the links on the opening page of this thread on monday. I believe its been quite some time since we have.

ps 2; btw the review thread is completely up to date it took me half an hour... :)

Claude Van Stroke - circa 2008 (don't remember exactly when) - Some shitty abandoned strip mall in downtown albuquerque

8/10

Don't know who got him out here, or why we he wasn't playing in a club or theatre, but boy was that show fun. Claude threw down a sick set, had me dancin like a fool, and when he played "Who's afraid of detroit" the entire place went fucking nuts. Had great energy, and a nice flow to his mix too, keeping the energy going up and down to let people cool off for a bit.

Bad Boy Bill - Summer 2009 - Sunshine Theatre, Albuquerque

6/10

Alright show, and BBB definitely was throwin down, but i fucking hate that cave. The room is huge and echo-y, so it was pretty much impossible to hear anything other than the WHOOMP WHOOMP WHOOMP WHOOMP. Plus, I was working, so I didn't get to really enjoy the show. Oh, and one of the decks was broken (who fucking does that?)

PropaTingz - June 2010 - Moonlight Lounge, Albuquerque

7/10

Fun stuff, but frought with problems. Working this one too, and PropaTingz equipment was jamming the highs, the soundguy kept having to adjust the levels between every set (luckily he'd dialed in PT's before we opened the doors, so he knew where to go.) The first DJ showed up almost 20 minutes late for his set, then got all prissy when he was told he'd only get the remaining 40 minutes, not a whole hour. Plus, while I dig PropaTingz (great guy to talk to) I'm really not a fan of murder-dub. just doesn't do it for me, especially in a small club. Had way more fun at the afterparty. He did throw down hard though, had everybody pressing up against the stage, just screaming his name. He called us up like a week later and told us he'd come back anytime, so I guess he was happy.

erm...thats about it. I usually don't pay to see big name dj's, never seemed worth the price, and not that many come through here anyways...oakenfold is supposed to be here in October, so i might go see him....know some people, so if i can get in for free, great
