Location
wherever the wind blows me
I heard a name I haven't heard for months
and I felt her lick my spine from top to bottom.
Do you know how disquieting it is
to get licked long-distance?
She barely knew me,
but we spent all of our time
together
intertwined
intoxicated
inveterate...

and somehow
she sent her name-
and her tongue-
across miles and months
to plant firmly in my body
the taste
the scent
the texture
of the last best thing to happen to me.

Now, I am not lovelorn
by any means
though sometimes I wear
the melancholy mask...
when it's opportune
or I'm bored
or it's Tuesday-
and now I feel great!!!

Why don't I miss her?
Am I really this heartless?
What do I want for lunch?...

Well, even a far overdue kiss
is worth a page or two in this book.
I suppose it really is

the least I can do.

and somehow
she sent her name-
and her tongue-
across miles and months
to plant firmly in my body
the taste
the scent
the texture
of the last best thing to happen to me.
poetically, i really liked the ways these lines sounded.

Wasn't really expecting the ending but i liked it just the same.
