If i was to go out clubbing and finish at around 4am and then drive home at 9am, but get pulled over, what would happen? At 9am im fine and dont feel any effects from the drugs. Are there tests they do at the road which can test for drugs or does that all have to be done at a police station and takes time to get results?

Can the police arrest you if they think you have done drugs once they have pulled you over or do they need proof? Is your eyes being dilated proof enough?

^Damn! That can't be disputed in court? I mean let's say I smoke weed 3 days ago, and drive today, pulled over for rolling through a stop sign, and get tested and fail by a zealous LEO. I'm obviously not high, but I would get a DUI. I mean I know the law can easily dick people who don't deserve it (first hand), but that seems a little ridiculous. I'm glad I live in the South where they let you go after a field sobriety/breathalyzer test (assuming it's night time, during the day I never have a problem, especially at 9am.)

The most anyone is going to test for after you get pulled over is a breathalyzer test along with some basic stuff to make sure you're not too spun. Nobody is going to make you piss in a cup and run it through the GC in the back of the po' po's car.

I was talking about UK law. So do they have the power to arrest you if they are suspicious?

They have the power to arrest you if you're breaking the law by having controlled substances with you, being obviously intoxicated, or driving unsafely. Having drug metabolites in your blood isn't a crime.
