The last thing you ate or drank v.2

^ I have no proof of this, but I really feel that eating a couple eggs gives me a 24-hour energy/brainpower boost. If you're vegan for spiritual/religious/ethical reasons, then of course that's cool, but if you're just excluding eggs for health reasons, I would suggest rethinking them.

I just had steel cut oats in almond milk with raisins. Figured I'd try the AP breakfast of choice ;) -- I think the almondy flavor complemented the oats really well actually.

O.K., word of advice -- don't combine separate nuts or seeds in one meal. I swear, it fucks my stomach up every time.

What'd you combine?

And I know what you mean about the eggs: When I was eating eggs (well, just the whites towards the end), I felt amazing despite my otherwise shitty diet. I had to give 'em up after a night of intoxicated thought on what eggs really are. I went from having eggs (well, whites) every single freakin' morning, to not being able to stomach 'em. The morning after that intoxicated night, I started making breakfast (1/2 cup eggwhites [yes, I know now that is far too much!], vegetarian "sausage," cheese, and a bagel) and after it was cooked, I took a bite of the sandwich and had an instant gag reflex. Never had that happen with food before. I tried to get the breakfast down since I had work, but I couldn't. Twas too gross. But yeah, eggs kept me mentally and physically energized for hours.

Hahah, that is my breakfast of choice, 'cause it's sooooo good! Well, hemp milk is my top choice, but my wallet prefers almond milk. :P

Speaking of saving money and whatnot... To make the steel cut oats, I don't cook 'em in the almond milk: I cook 'em in water, then when I reheat 'em, I put a dash of almond milk in the pan. (Yes, I make big batches of SCO's on the weekends and no, I don't use the microwave. :P)

End rambling, back to the last thing I ate! Steamed Brussels sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, spinach, orange pepper, broccoli and cauliflower.

What'd you combine?

Had some of my walnut brownie after the almond milk... two foods that feel great by themselves. Odd.

Yep. That's exactly how I do it, too. I hate microwaves with a passion. They totally ruin the texture of all foods. If I'm lazy, I just eat it cold, straight out of the fridge. :D

That sounds like a superb veggie ensemble, by the way! I really need to get into mushrooms. I really do love their flavor, but they are rather neglected in my diet, for some reason.

footlong chicken breast sub from Subway... moderately healthy fast-food-- not that it matters after the amount of work I did today.

Slept in again... but what a way to start the day;
Triple cortado
+
1 mg Buprenorphine
+
Homemade limonada
+
Yet another smoothie:
Vanilla yoghurt, milk, raspberries, strawberries, spinach, hemp protein, Psyllium seed husks, pine honey, IL HWA ginseng extract

^ I guess so! I'll let you guys know how it goes the next time I cook up a batch--Working on finishing up the rolled oats. ...They're kindasortareally gross now...

Last had another orange. Dunno what's for dinner yet as I'm running low on foods. :P

Holy crap... I tried some Dinosaur Kale in a green smoothie. I assumed it was about like the regular "green kale" that I've been eating, so I threw the usual amount in the blender -- wrong! This dino kale is, like, 10x as powerful as the green kale. I compensated with an extra banana and a couple dates for sweetness, but I still don't think I'll even finish half of this thing. 8(

Brown Basmati rice with left over steamed vegetables from yesterday, drenched/covered in nutritional yeast. I can finally say I have my taste for nooch back. :D

Followed that with an Asian apple pear, a kiwi (skin and all :P), annnnd some raisins.

Believe it or not, I am still hungry. Grr.

Tried some store-bought coconut milk. Wow. It's almost criminal to label this stuff "coconut milk". It's like white, slightly-coconut-flavored water, filled with preservatives and fortified with vitamins.

If you've never had homemade coconut milk, you don't know what coconut milk really is. ;)

Yup, you can eat the skin. :) It's kinda bitter but it certainly beats trying to peel those freakin' things. :P

Haha yeh I eat them skin-and-all too. Just rub them lightly first and a lot of the furry comes off. Otherwise cut them in quarters and peel the skin back as you eat each one. Possibly the least-messy method :)

Last thing I ate was an apricot and almond muesli bar. No artificially preservatives, flavourings, colours etc but still a hefty odd 200 calories.
