What should I have to prove?
Isn’t it enough that I love you?
You love me, we love each other
I thought that might just do.
But for someone it’s not enough,
And tho he’s seen we wont give up,
Wont give in, we love each other,
Please be strong there is no other
In whom my every secret I can trust.
There’s nothing I can change,
Your father’s opinion has been made,
Has been stated without debate of
But to elope that would create a
Rift within our family for the rest of our loving days.
All I asked for was a blessing,
By his answer there was no guessing
He’s a migrant and a racist,
And I’m a skip of indigenous basis,
But I wont give up, wont give in,
His approval we will win,
Once his deep-set prejudice, get’s addressing.

:( true love will prevail. the greater the hurdles overcome, the greater the appreciation of what you have at the end of it all. stick in there, true love knows no colour, creed or race.

As fluffy said, true love will prevail. Your first piece made me smile, and now I just hope things will work out for both of you. Good luck and my thoughts with you both *hugs*
