Need some quick advice...

I just bought 4, 20x capsules from my head shop, (the extract not the leaf), the leaf was expensive and I'm just starting bupe withdrawal so I was looking for the cheapest quick fix. I have no tolerance to kratom, and I've been taking 8mg/bupe for the past 5-6 months, I dk whether that matters.

It says in the package: planet premium botanicals, super enhanced 20x, and that's it, so I have no idea on the quality or whatever, I know it's better to get the leaf, but since I have the extract I dint know how much to take, nor how much is in each capsule (it doesn't say shit on the package). I figured my best bet would be to break a capsule in half, dump it on my tongue and down some water, but I've never done this before, can anyone shed some light?

^Sounds like as good a plan as any.

Even if you knew the exact mass we'd still be guessing at what 20x actually means. Never mind the differing potency between plain leaf supplies. Hope it helps abate withdrawal.

p.s. The extracts are also usually a bad deal. Remember that it takes more time and money to extract the kratom then just sell the leaf in bulk so the extract should be a specialty more expensive item. Furthermore if a gram of 20x is cheaper then 20g of leaf I would be highly suspicious...though I suppose shipping costs could make a difference. Either way to put a dent in bupe withdrawal you might need 20x or have to eat 20g of leaf which would not be pretty.

Unfortunately, I was stupid as fuck with my recent 250g batch and caned it annoyingly quickly as usual but didn't leave enough. I have 4g (!!!) to do me tomorrow night to try and get rid of the dreaded RLS in bed. Hopefully it will take the edge off. I will couple it with a massive bong of Cannabis, 10 minutes of yoga and alot of chamomile tea and just ride it out until Tuesday when I get my next order.

Godamn I am stupid sometimes.

^Can't you get OTC opioids in Scotland? Some headshops/herbists will probably sell kratom and either way codeine/dhc/morphine tincture is available no? Loperamide will help with symptoms if you have to keep clean as well.

There are a lot of factors at play there but basically it will have little to no noticeable effect. If it helps, it helps by aiding absorption of the alkaloids in your gut. It can also perhaps hinder the experience by diluting stomach acid and thereby reducing it's ability to break down the plant matter as quickly. In other words it won't effect the AUC but may slightly push the time to peak concentration and it's value one way or the other.

Attempting to perform a hot water extraction on the kratom (like a tea), may have more of an effect. 75% methanol as the solvent and sitting overnight achieved a 4/5 total yeild I think so you'd probably be better off consuming it all. Or at least consuming the plant matter with the tea.

I have tried kratom twice about a year ago and I found it quite pleasing, smooth, relaxing and stimulating at the same time. Very beutiful. I plan on buying some again and I was wondering what drugs can mix with it. I have smoked weed on kratom and it felt good, nothing really special but nice.

Oh and how does it mix with psychedelics (LSD or phens)?

^I find the mixing potential to be a bit limited... I don't find psychedelics to mix well with non-psychedelics (maybe speed occasionally), YMMV. A common problem with mixing kratom is that it gets overpowered fairly easily, even cannabis can do this at times. I personally think low-dose cannabis is the best thing to occasionally mix in though, still.

I had 10 grams of kratom yesterday.

I started off with 6 grams, and once it kicked in got a really nice relaxing buzz. Was just sitting in front of the computer in a nice relaxed state for a good 2-3 hours.

I decided to take another 2 grams, increased the nice effects a little but also made me feel more dizzy when I would stand up.

Then another hour and half later took another approximately 2 grams and didn't do much but made more dizzy.

I'm just wondering what would be the best way to redose, like how much and at what time? I have around 10 grams left for today, was planning on starting with 5 grams and then taking another 5grams at around 3 hours into it.

The next day. Same amount. Maybe 12 hours later as well, like a morning and evening dose.

If I want to extend the high then 1g a few hours after 5g will do so but the extension is remarkably subtle. I mean you are hardly even feeling the kratom still at the stage so it takes a fine eye to realize you are still under the influence. I've never had success fully redosing and would switch to codeine or something.

re-dosing wrecks the whole experience, it's definently somthing that if not used in moderation doesn't work/has more side effects.

I can dose twice in a day at the most... About 8 hours or so after the first dose, I can do a full dose again. I agree that redosing doesn't work too well.

I've tried "SEM" - it's pretty similar to UEI. I still prefer UEI though. Dunno why but UEI is superior over any other Kratom product on the market IMO. More high for the buck, and lasts longer.

I dose several times in a day at 10-13g and the last dose is still very enjoyable.

Re-dosing can work if you mix up your strains throughout the day...keeping your Malaysians and Thai's to the morning and keeping Bali's and the Indo's later at night and varying each dose. Slightly less earlier in the day at a specific ratio of x:y and vary that ratio aswell eventually incorporating only a:b.

I believe Thom ingestion is a fine art, much akin to Coffee drinking, Whiskey maturing and fine wines. There are a whole host of varying effects dependant on specific doses, strain ratio's, times of day ingested, times of year leaf is picked, times of day leaf is picked, how old certain tree's are, method of milling, method of drying, food consumed that day prior to dosing if any, strains, method of ingestion (tea tends to lean more towards a relaxing high whereas tossing and washing will incorporate all the best of it - the stimulation and sedation).
There's a really enjoyable art in the act of taking what works for you and finding out your requirements, what works best for you and what doesn't. Getting a feel for the wide range of effects this fantastic plant can offer.

It's actually such a complex plant with may indole alkaloids making up it's psychoactive content, all of which haven't even been found yet! I believe there are at least 28 known to this day. It can give you an effect for one activity and what you need for another.
I'm sitting watching a movie with an Indo and I feel great relaxing, just lying there and don't really care to move but I could take that same Indo tomorrow at work and it will make me enjoy the constant moving, aiding my energetic activity and stimulating me if I so wish.

Hey everyone, I am back with another question! I feel so naive, but in actuality I guess I am! I also bought some red vein capsules, and they just arrived. It says that it is active at 2g. They are 600mg capsules. Not knowing what that meant exactly, I took 4 equaling 2.4g (if I am correct). It took nearly 7g of the commercial powder to take effect this weekend. Do you thing 2.4g is too low? Or with their mention of 2g becoming active mean this certain strain is stronger? I hope this makes sense!

I will be very very surprised if you feel anything partly because the dose is so low, partly because pre-capped Kratom is mostly bunk shit and the method of ingesting what is probably weak in the first place is going to hinder any potential effects.

The powder (fine powder) is the most effective over pre-made caps, crushed leaf or whole leaf due to a few things, mainly the increase surface area..

^I'd say that the capsules are bad either because they are low quality material or the kratom has been exposed to oxygen for too long. I also recommend the powder, but crushed leaf is not bad either, it works well for tea. A coffee grinder will convert crushed leaf to powder in like 10 seconds...

Edit- armywife, some strains are a little more potent than others, but the difference in dose is not much at all, maybe 1.5 gram or so difference between the more potent and less potent strains. ~7g is a pretty normal amount, I take around 7.5g myself.

Tried some super enhanced mang da. Half a gram for effects, wow. It definently is a little more stimulating then normal kratom. Its like a herbal viagra.

I've read the anecdotal reports of hepatic complications (hepatic face is what was specifically mentioned), but I'm curious what specifically is telling you that you have an issue with your liver?

I often used to take large amounts of acetaminophen (approx 4000mg at once) when i was careless and in a rush to take opioid/acetainophen combinations. Eventually, this would lead to a distinctive dull pain that I would get approximately where my liver is located. Sometimes I get this now even when taking small doses of acetaminophen, and generally avoid apap all together.

The kratom I ingested gave me this same dull pain. of all the drugs i have ingested, really kratom and apap are the only things I can think of that have made me feel this way.

I just recently discovered this magical 'erb from the bubbling loins of Gaia and I gots to say this.. SWEEETDANGDOODLY.. if ya know what I mean

Also, I got a couple of questions for any of yall experienced users out there .. I wanna optimise usage over the week by eating my greens as much as I can while at the same time avoiding considerable withdrawals. I read somewhere that a dosing schedule of either 1 day on-1 day off or 2 days on-2 days off works, but one man is one man, and an army of scientists is, well an army of scientists! so how many straight days can you go on kratom without feeling shit the day afterwards? Then how many days would you break for? Finally, if you are taking it on consecutive days is there a point when tolerance takes a steep climb enough to mean it's just not worth it anymore?
