*'burn' is a NZ term for methamphetamine, as is 'P'
The world in my head unfolded before me
The voices screamed louder - they said 'cut' and 'kill'
The woman with snakes in her hair stood and pointed
I know not to look when she does - I did still
The men in the black cloaks were gathered around
I saw spiders on them, the glint in their eyes
You don't want to see them, they reek of pure evil
Still, they are not, by far, the worst of these guys
Then there's the demon - he rules the kingdom
He looks like a slug with big fists full of claws
The inside of my head is like a big mansion
And sometimes you don't want to open the doors
Methamphetamine tries to unwind me
It tickles its' fingers all up my veins
It feels like spiders are under my skin
It feels like the pipe is the cure to my pains
But meth is the cause of my epic psychotic
Episodes - episodes that I can't bear
Meth is the cause of the pain and neurosis
Meth is the kingdom I see and I hear
Withdrawal is so scary and it makes me mad
All that I want is to rip out my hair
Now that that episode's finally over
All that I'm left with is need for the gear
It will wear off in a couple of weeks
Though the cravings will stay there forever with me
I no longer want to go through meth psychosis
So that's a good reason to stay off the 'P'
See, everybody, I just want to say
Finally I am beginning to learn
Life that is real - it sure beats psychosis
No longer shall I be a victim of burn
