Is there any way to cut down the itch frrom using opiates? It keeps me awake most of the time. With that said is it normal for opiates to make you feel more hyperr in a wway? You know when you're sober aand yourre tired you're thoughts start to slow downn and you don't really focus on what you're thinking. Well when I'm on the opiates I find that my thoughts race basically, not out of contrrol like wwhen I'm high but its more like a giddy feeling and I'm so excited that my thoughts are racing from one happy thought to the next, and when the good feelings wear off I'm left feeling quite wide awake

im the exact same way that you just described. for me the only way to stop itching is to not focus on it and put all my focus into something like a game

I think I love the opiates because it makes me more speedy in a way, I have to refrain from talking peoples ears off. Only prob is the speediness lasts longer than the giddiness

Benedryl..but it may add sedation too so be careful.
take a theraputic dose[25mlgs],should cure the itch.

Opaites motivate the heck outta me.I can become superman.
The sedation happens towards the end for me,unless I took a super duper high/strong dose then I get noddy right away.

Also, certain opiates feel more speedy than others.Oxy,for example makes me feel speedy for abouyt 2 hours and then the sedation kicks in.

Try taking an antihistamine 45 minutes to an hour before you dose. If you start using opiates regularly you'll eventually develop tolerance to the itching.

And yes, some people do react that way to opiates.

I would rather not develop a tolerance to the itch by using regularly, so any one know the least drowsy/sedating antihistamines?

ya i used to get really itchy when taking opiates. especially codeine. one time i took WAY too much codeine and i was sooo itchy my whole body turned deep red. i looked like a fucking lobster...worst time EVER. anyway when that happened i took a cold shower and it definately helped. im not sure if theres any science behind it or not. might just be a psychosematic deal.
