I know many people of gone through it before, ussually it's no big deal, years ago when I was getting off an SSRI they zapped around for 2 weeks than went away, no big deal, but anyway, sometimes after having used drugs like DXM too much, i would get these zaps for a couple days afterwards, and sometimes when going to sleep, I will get overly powerful zaps that from what I can see try and send me into a nightmare like sleep paralyses state where I feel an intense state of fear and I have to Force my body out of it, and sometimes it happens after i've already fallen asleep and it results in a terrible nightmare because the Intense state of fear + dreams.

Note that this happened after having done MDAI over the past 2 days, maybe about 700mgs in total, so i won't be using that, and when I do end up using it, it will probably be a one time high than break.

So Has anyone had zaps like this? if so Is this normal when having used more powerful Serotonin Reuptakes/Rel?

Personally i had them for like a week then they went away. I don't see what the big deal is. I reckon people just like to whine about shit.

It could just be mini-panic attacks making the brain zaps seem more alarming than they actually are.. and FYI, in my experience, recreational DXM use always gave me a "fucked up overly-sensitive to everything" feeling in my head, along with panic attacks, for months afterwards.

As for brain zaps, I've been off and on SSRIs/SNRIs/TCAs countless times, sometimes at pretty high doses, and the brain zaps never got that bad. One of those things that if you don't think about it, you barely notice it.
For me anyways, everyone's different. Shit, maybe you're having little seizures? Who knows? Your doctor certainly doesn't -- And if you bring up "brain zaps" to him he's going to look at you like an idiot who believes everything he reads (ironic though, coming from a guy who bases everything he knows and practices off of special interest medical journals)

I have had some pretty big 'jolts' (as I used to refer to them as before I knew what they were) and thought I was having seizures/ mini strokes because of it and was terrified because I had no idea what was happening to me.

I asked a trusted doctor about it and she chuckled and told me that no, I hadn't had a stroke.

it wasn't until I found a thread in bluelight that explained it for me, it was definitely a relief to know what really happened.

as to whether or not it's normal to have them with certain serotonin uptakes, I couldn't tell you. I would imagine that you could find more information on this in some of the more specific drug forums, if that helps

thats why i REFUSE to take antidepressants. The brain is too delecate to be meddling in matters with drugs whose actions are "exact mechanisms unknown" as quoted in the PDR.

I've had these zaps the day after taking too much mdma last Dec. These went away after a few days
