I never thought it would be possible to do a freestyle that would pay the due homage to Nas's "Nas is like." Very, very hard to beat and so well known as a cornerstone of almost all good "old school" today...but this is maybe my second fav freestyle ever.... Only vying for first with Eyedea (RIP, but you live on in me through the 3rd eye) on the Wake Up Show with Atmosphere is just just straight inspiring and one of the first to make me realize my freestyles are in were and maybe are still in their infancy. Helped me stop holding back too...Spit your reality and use the environment... Anyway, will post both to homage to people that established and are moving the game forward. Humbling in both cases. Also I'm glad Atmosphere is still on the scene...skilled af and I reckon jaded with the scene for a reason...because he laid such a dope foundation (though I personally spit a totally different style).

(Only one I've heard thst could do "Nas Is Like" with the respect due).

(They didn't need to bring freestyle receipts and said fuck the receits, proof is in the pudding...I've studied this track probably in the low 50X...prob more that I've forgotten, it literally should be in Lupe Fiasco's MIT course).

I think Eyedea got defeated by survival because the world couldn't handle his dopeness, truth and idealism. He wanted peace for everyone around him I reckon, but struggled to find his own.... Feel the same about Mac Miller (I don't think he was the best rapper ever, but one of the best when it came to dedication and pushing complex ideas in a simplified and very relatable way - "self care" is ironic in that he couldn't help himself but I know that track helps at least myself...to this day...but his really sad death probably saved lives)...but when it comes to battle rap... EYEDEA was a straight KILLER. Fucking two gone from ODs... I legit pray for thier guidance when I'm freestylin.

How good I aspire to be with my flows?...this is the level I gotta be or I may as well retire my Mic...I want to hit the level because it's so inspiring and would be so fun (BONUS! with some of the illest in a rapper orgy; they straight coversing in rhyme):
