the HARD thread!

i get the impression alot of people mix up hardstyle and nustyle
i personaly love them both but nustyle tends to get quite cheesy at times & hardstyle rarley does

I liked that, but jesus christ...I could never listen to more than one song of that at a time.

Been listening to a lot of Happy Hardcore lately. Love this stuff - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC9xwwmyS70&feature=related

I always thought it was a good song to close the evening with.

I’m the same with happy hardcore, I enjoy some of it but can only really tolerate a song dropped in here and there to lift the mood a bit. My wife on the other hand is #1 Happy hardcore fan.

Another good song to close a set with. Shit gets hectic at the end.

And a great remix of one of the first gabber tracks

This one is more mainstream but good if you want something a bit more uplifting. Remix of a track i posted in another thread.

<3 hellsystem. Quite a contrast from the last track of his I posted.

The only track i can ID in your set is that Yellow claw diplo remix, i can't stand diplo but that version it great. That horn makes me laugh every single time i hear it. I don't know if that was their intended reaction but I can't help it.

(when i clicked on the link i honestly thought it was going to be 80's freestyle)

industrial strength put out a couple of good samplers/mixes in the late 90s called industrial fucking strength. the first one is absolutely amazing for hardcore and gabber. the second is good as well but has a few hit and miss tracks. if you can find them they are well worth the cash. the thrid and forth kinda fell off but, certianly check out the first.

dj skinhead
DOA
Lenny dee
Rob gee

all good in my opinion

One of the best hardcore labels. Never been disappointed by an industrial strength party either.

Hardcore parties are pretty much the only parties I like going to still. They seem to be the only events that aren't over produced with annoying lighting/laser distractions, silly uniforms and $5 bottles of water.

I still love some good trance etc but the chance of seeing a set of decent trance DJ's for under $20 in a small intimate venue not overcrowded with neon YOLO kids is next to none.
