The Hangover

My hangovers are so bad that it made me stop drinking, I haven't been drunk in probably 7 years. When I did drink I could quit drinking at 3am and would wake up at 7-8am with a pounding headache, throwing up from both ends. The headache and puking lasts all day and doesn't go away until around 6pm.

My hangovers have changed over the years of abuse..

From the typical headache feel like crap shite you'd normally think of a hangover to be like to a very poisoned (in a much different way) feeling.. The closest thing I could compare it to would be travel sickness or getting the spins from too much alcohol when i was younger.. only without the spins.. Cigarettes make this feeling MUCH worse.. Sometimes I have been unable to hold down solids or liquids for almost 24 hours after my last drink..

I eat something decent when i am getting started. Pretty much stick w/ quality vodka, gin, or dark beers/ales now due to terrible hangovers from red wine, tequila, whiskey, etc.
When done for the night, I drink lots of water, more if if i'm close to the edge, toast in the morning, more water and moderate coffee. Only drink 2-3 times a month at most, too hard to snap back as fast now.

I can get a hangover from 4 beers if im not chugging water and eating something. But if i do that a 5th a crown and i wake up feeling fine.

Absolutely horrible. Being even "tipsy" (say, 8 beers or a bottle of wine) makes me notice it and be clearly sluggish the next day. Heavy drinking leads to tremors, nausea, a pounding headache, depression, and all-around weakness in the body for two days.

I usually try to avoid them, as in terms of short-term acute intensity I find them the worst after-effect from any drug (worse than heroin, cocaine or benzo withdrawals, except much shorter in duration). Cannabis helps with nausea, headaches, and makes me hungry, which is usually difficult while hungover, yet absolutely fundamental for recovery. If benzos are at hand I will always also take one. All but the most severe hangovers are cured with some dank bud and a couple of benzos. You're still couchlocked and useless for the whole day, but at least you don't feel like death.

depends on what iv been drinking, if iv eaten, if iv snuck in a few sneaky waters, if iv been practicing and have my drinking skills in check

so about my earlier post about never getting drunk from beer-- that changed.
i drank at least eleven beers yesterday at a baseball game, which was superfun while i was there, but awful coming home. i started to get hungover less than an hour after i stopped drinking & felt sleepy & nauseous.
thank goodness for opiates & gatorade, that's all i have to say! :D

i get vicious hangovers if i drink enough to be completely shitfaced, for which i need at least a fifth. a quart will knock be completely out. heartburn, nausea, headache, completely devoid of energy etc.
since i had a huge alcohol problem (hence the large amounts i need to get properly wasted), something i fortunately have in control somewhat these days it doesn't take much for me to go into physical WD again. 2-3 days of heavy drinking will suffice. and believe me, a really nasty hangover mixed with alcohol WD is hell on earth.
