As far as rhetorical, persuasive speeches go, this one takes the cake. Who would have thought Charlie Chapman could be such an intellectual. I could watch this video a million times and still get goose bumps. Incredibly moving!

This thread was obviously needed; every response has come with a smiley face!

Yeah I figured, as good of a speech as it is, it probably has been around almost everything by now. I for one had not heard it until a few months back and have never frequented the philosophy forum until recently. I wonder if this speech would have had a lasting impact on society had it been given by a real person in an appropriate situation. I for one consider this speech to be just as moving, or more, than many historical speeches given.
 
This is the first time I saw the video and I was impressed. Makes you think about the little things we all take for granted. Also makes me wonder what our goal as a human species is. Seems like power is what history tells me it is.
