I did some more digging and came up with the following:

GHB has been found to increase brain levels of the endogenous opiods, dynorphin and beta-endorphin (25).

However, I've read conflicting reports on whether these "opioid-like substances" play any significant role in the effects elicited by GHB.
 
It would explain some of the withdrawal symptoms from just a few days of use. I didn't think that GABA agonists could cause withdrawal in such a short space of time, unless it causes massive receptor down-regulation, which, I suppose, is possible.
 
Just got some GBL and find it very nice. However, naseua has been a bit of an issue for me, and while I've not actually puked it has made my experience less pleasureable.

Has anyone got any tips on how to reduce naseua while on G?
 
Yes actually now that I think of it I've had fairly substantial dinners before I've used it.

So its best taken on an empty or nearly empty stomach then?
 
Heavy meals are not really a good idea because it can mask the effects of the G and you end up overdoing it. But something light - just to line the stomach a bit really - can apparently help. Might not work for everyone but surely worth a try :).
 
I put 1.5 in a pint of orange juice and sip it slowly. Hides the taste very well ^_^

Also, GBL works brilliantly with MDMA. Have your normal dose about ten minutes before you drop, and say goodbye to any hint of inhibition!
 
Why not just shot it in a little bit of orange juice?

The taste goes away after a few seconds, even less if you have more drink to chase it down with

But not as good as (I was going to insert a picture of an arsehole!). Dilute it at least 5:1 (water:GBL) and squirt it up yer jacksy. No taste buds up there, so no wretching, no burps, nowt except a clean onset (a bit more rapid than orally so watch out. I've misjudged before & woke up on the living room floor rather than in bed as I didn't move fast enough after dosing).

Kara, I thought you'd be all for shoving drugs up yer arse! =D

PS it also works for speed etc and has an onset not much slower than IM injection (faster than snorting) - not good for those who like the rush too much as it can quickly become quite addictive
 
fastandbulbous, wouldn't speed hurt the lining on the colon? ie: any damage by doing it this way?
 
well none left, 50ml gone although i took it out with me on saturday and me and my mate did it all day then and yesterday before i went home, as well as loads of people at a party having doses after we went back there when the rave we were gonna go to had already been shutdown. hopeful of no withdrawal tbh, overall this bottle has helped my anxiety a lot- even when not on it. good stuff
