Fair enough! I am fine with the worst tasting substances but the taste has to end after ingestion -- not be produced by some reaction that lasts way too long.

I am thinking I prolly got a worse than you -- it is a "Side effect" technically.. I -- don't know I took ambien and that left a metal taste (and I think it is less known for that?) and I just needed something with a longer halflife. Dude offered ambien CR or w/e and I was just forthrite and suggested restoril/temazepam (as there were commercials for it at the time - easy reason to ask)

I teased a few doctors "The commercials say to ask you for oxycontin by name!" When I am no pain at all or w/e

I find the taste goes away if u take them long enough. Well not completely but somewhat anyway

Ahh that is possible I was not on it for long and honestly had a habit of spilling and losing my ambien (Like legit falling down floorvents and shit) only med I have ever had that problem with. I think I only got 3 bottles and complained every time until he offered CR and I was just like nah we both know the traditional answer here -- but i didnt put it that way, here in america big pharma gives you foot in the door with advertising on TV

Hello, I just found this site. Looks like some good information and level heads for the most part. Background: I've been prescribed benzodiazepines since the 1980's. For the last 10 years my drug and dose has been Diazepam 10mg qid. Along with Gabapentin 600mg tid. I recently crossed over to Clonazepam 1mg qid and Gabapentin 800mg tid. I have been getting as many Gabapentin as I need so my unofficial dose is 2500mg to 5000mg qd. I saw an advertisement for a bottle of Phenibut 250mg and I received the bottle in post today. My question, I also take Escitalopram 20mg, Buproprion 300 xl, Dextroamphetamine 15mg bid, Clonazepam 1mg qid, Hydrocodone 7.5/325 and the Gabapentin. It has been suggested to me that taking as much Gabapentin for so long that Phenibut 250mg won't give a desired effect if any at all. What would be a safe good dosage of Phenibut to start? Will it interact with any of the meds that I have listed? If I could get some input it would be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention I take Phenobarbital anywhere from 30mg/day to 120mg/day. My physician prescribes me Donnatal and it has 16.2mg Phenobarbital along with Hyoscyamine Sulfate 0.1037mg, Atropine Sulfate 0.0194mg and Scopolamine Hydrobromide 0.0065mg for IBS. It seems this thread got a little bit derailed going into discussions on z drugs.

So, I have now been off Phenibut hcl for a week. I had 16 days and then relapsed on my birthday and once that weekend (4 days apart - the 2nd time was really underwhelming). So essentially 2 uses at 4g, 4 days apart in 21 days (down from daily use of 3-4g for months).

It didn't completely screw me over in terms of getting off the stuff and my tolerance was close to baseline when I took it for my bday (btw, cocaine hcl + phenibut hcl is amazing as a combo). I also drank a fair amount of alcohol after not drinking at all for a month or so and I guess I hammered my brain with 2 gaba drugs along with a CNS stimulant.

With that said, even though I had an amazing time and I don't regret it, my relapse set me back for sure. On that 16th day without, I was down to just 6mg diazepam a day... that shot back up to 10mg after my relapses and then I did a pretty brutal taper on the diazepam.

I am now at my prescribed 4mg a day of diazepam and haven't touched the phenibut hcl for a week.

I think this is a drug I'm going to start treating sort of like MDMA and only allow myself to use once or twice a month max (with MDMA I actually like a 2 month gap).

Anyhow, I'm going to hold at 4mg Diazepam a day for a bit and then drop it to 2mg, then 0mg hopefully (while stashing as many pills as I can - I'm actually going to ask for an increase because 4mg is a joke when they used to have me on 50mg a day!). I want my 10mg pills backkkk. Anyhow, I don't want to get heavily addicted again, so maybe I'm playing with fire.

You being hard on yourself its hardly a relapse if you planned it and it was your bday!!

4 mg of diazepam is a pretty low habit though -- I think you got it. --- 4mgs a day kind of is a joke. I got cut to 2 kpins a day and I want my third one back fuckin bad but pretty clear it aint gunna happen as he suggested some antipyschotic when I asked for it back.

You know damn well you playing with fire if you been addicted in the past and still are haha -- just keep the flame low enough you wont freeze up and seize if someone blows it out?
