There will be no more fighting
there will be no more pain
there will be only sunshine
and never the rain.
Come with me, my friend
please hold my hand
we won't be afraid
we will soon understand,
for we'll become angels
the stars and the sun
we'll take off these chains
and away we will run,
we'll dance on the rainbow
with fairies and elves
no pills and no doctors
just only ourselves.
Then frowns turn to smiles
and I'll see you cry
a tear of pure happiness
at last from your eye.
Now come off the cliff
together we'll fall
hand in hand answering
the freedom call,
first we fall down
and then up we fly
now we're constellations forever
side by side in the sky.

I wrote this for the same friend that I was talking about in my other poem I posted on here, "Living or dying..." If I could do just one thing for her it would be to set her free from her illness and take her away to some happy place where there is no sadness and no sickness. Wherever that is, whatever that means. I'm still trying to find it.
