That's ok, it was somewhat entertaining.
Some good suggestions like 'make hash oil' or butter with stemz.
Can't believe it's not commonest knowledge,
YES, most strains of cannabis have a medium-to-large amount of trichomes (trichs/crystals) on the stem directly adjacent to the florescences.
Some plants have no stem trichs, I had a mutant once that had large trichs all the way along the stem (main stem, right down to a few inches from the base). These giant-trichs were easily scraped and enjoyed and were nothing short of pure resiny goodness.
You can rub stems and scrape your fingers (swiss army knife gives a good scraping) and pop that on a bowl of leaf/parsley whatever and you will notice its effect. Don't forget to rub your baggies with slightly wetted fingers and rub rub scrape rub scrape off your resin-infused skin.
Lastly, I have often peeled off the outer layer of green-brown 'bark' on good looking bits of bud stems
Use fingernail or edge of scissors and lift off thin strips that peel up along the stem.
Take care not to remove any of the white fibrous fibers of the 'stem proper' - these burn noxiously.
Chop the stempeelings roughly and maybe add a sprinkle of tobacco
As it can still be a wee bit nasty. But not that bad, and plenty potent (specially as you slow down your habit as you start running low) 8)
