Lol, wtf is wrong with you. In all my years in what was once known as the black Wall Street of America (before one of the worst race riots in American history where ignorant whites burned their neighborhoods to the ground) I never once had any problems with violence. The only problem I had was with the systematic under funding of infrastructure and education leading to a vicious cycle which is incredibly hard to escape. How are poorly educated, ignorant parents supposed to raise kids with a broader perspective when there is no one to show them how, or if they are never home because they have to work three minimum wage jobs to put food on the table, or if there is no mechanism in place to break the cycle. The people are by and large good people, but often misguided and jaded.
The delicious smell of BBQ in the morning air only goes so far in soothing an aching heart.
