The electronic fink that will squeal if you drink

I'm usually all for freedom, but I'm not sure I have an issue with these. I agree that they should alert the subject immediately if it detects alcohol so they can have a urine test and clear their name, if need be, but in general I don't have a problem with the idea of monitoring those on parole for drunk driving or drunken violence. Some people just shouldn't be drinking, and if they don't have the self control to prevent themselves becoming a danger to others, then something like this seems like a better answer than locking them up.
 
What about second-hand alcohol?

If the sensors in these devices use chromic acid, then having sex with a drunk will produce a positive. As will walking over rotting fruit. As will sitting in hospitals. As will being attacked by small dogs in semi-rural neighborhoods.
Yra false positives afre inevitable when they put the sensor on they give you a long list of things that you cannot takeor do like alcohal based hand sanitizer.
