I've heard about this, however, the details I was given were a slight variation. Most of the people I've talked to about where this crap is coming from have pretty much repeated the same thing you just said. I'm wondering if their shipment of MDP2P got confiscated, and they had to work with what they could get their hands on. That's not cool, and can get dangerous. Whoever made the BZP that's in these ran the reaction wrong, and ended up with a "toxicity unknown" byproduct (DBZP) getting pressed into the pills. Basically it's a group of guys with a rotary tablet press (I'm speculating here....), and careless chemists.
What really bothers me about this, is that we're at the mercy of unscrupulous manufacturers who put profit margins above providing a quality product. I guess they're only interested in a short-term benefit, which doesn't surprise me because the longer they're in business, and the bigger reputation (again...speculation), the bigger the risk of getting caught and/or *insert other consequence here*.
I guess all we can do is speculate on where this crap came from, as well as how, and why.....but.....we CAN let people know about it, compile reports, and get a list of these presses, so that when people go to all these major events where there's a good chance this garbage might be present, they don't buy it.
