Also it's lovely to see the Old Aged Moderaters (like yerself =D ) still bossin' it and doing a better job than ever {^_^}
I'd like to take the role back on one day (I wasn't in the best of ways at the end, aaaannnd.... due to a horrible idea I couldn't stay objective :| ) but there is still life in this old sqizzle yet %)

Infact, I think I will be coming to this thread for advice more than coming to it to give it!
I think Summer is too far gone now due to it only being clouded and muggy* (*humid, for those not from t'Norf) almost 24/7 (they need atleast 6hrs + a day do they not?), and I don't have good size pots and compost. But I ran into a very special coinkidink a few years back with some Somniforum pods and took a few so I could dry the seeds :)
To make sure they were Somniforums, I put quite a few seeds in a cuppa and I felt that old, familiar warmth of Opiates ;)

So expect me here for anecdotal info and maybe some that I provide myself... a year later :D
 
How can you call our dear sadie old-aged? she's far too cute ^_^
(not that older women can't be attractive, there's one girl I dated a couple of years ago, in her 50s, 54-55 I think she is now. My stalker, and of the people I've dated, she is one of the most attractive of them all actually. Real stunner to look at, this really damn fine autie lady, who just drips elegance like a de-limbed torso squirts people-juice. Unusual type, I've heard of folk going people-watching, but she makes a sport out of it=D (although she is really NOT a people person herself, actually I think my stalker is allergic to most of them; although we got on well, and IIRC, she got on with Timothy McVeigh, as his pen-pal when he was locked up.) but overall not a people-person. To her, one of the advantages of living in montana, was that its pretty much the chocolate starfish of the arse-end of nowhere and largely people-free=D

But bright, and wow what a body, my stalker/ex gf, shes one of those autistic chicks that seem to age very slowly or not at all, physically, past a certain point, slowly rather than just not aging at all after puberty, as is the case with another autie friend of mine, who I go way back with, to my school days, in my first secondary spazz school, my stalker, she does age, just very gracefully and like a fine wine, only gets more delightful as she ages. The other girl, from my school days though, its as if she literally, has not aged a single day over maybe 11-12. Was absolutely crazy about her in school together, never had the guts to ask her out then. Seen her a few times since, and although she's a couple of years older than I am, now, I think 35-36yo, and I still do like her, but it is kind of weird, knowing that you fancy the arse off someone you always have done since first meeting her, but that she still looks 11 or 12. Still even has a squeaky high pitched voice, even knowing she isn't, and that I want an awful lot to pop the question to her, thats a lot of cognitive dissonance. Finding that one is attracted to someone, despite their looking about 11.

HOLY FUCK. That looks WAY better than my current garden. I used heirloom somniferums in a not so great bed of soil (first grow and scrambled it together last minute), but still. I'd be interested in knowing what cultivar that is and also what kind of opium yield you can expect from that? Color me impressed, I'm gonna have to try to bust out something like that next year lol. I'm probably only going to have enough of anything to do a few experiments this year.
 
Man wish I had a garden to do my own harvest. Mouth is watering at that pic.

Got some pods on the way though and just made some PST. Feeling pretty gooood.

After the first few (nightly) doses which gave me that twilight sleep effect where I'd repeatedly wake up, roll a fag then gouch out, I quickly rediscovered the medicinal and functional benefits of opiates. My smokers cough disappeared. My drinkers morning diarrhea turned into solid shits. I cruised through my working day with no fatigue, stress or anxiety. I wish those effects would last, but thankfully I'm experienced enough to know that they never do. The good thing is I've run out now and am just going to have to ride it out for a few days.

Anyway, just wanted to share a poppy pod tea technique I've developed which is totally hassle free and pretty effective:

Crush pods into small pieces and pour into a thermos flask. Add some acid of choice - I use lemon or orange juice.

Boil kettle then let stand for a minute or so to go off the boil.

Pour a mug full of hot water into the flask. Close and shake.

Fuck off and do something else for a while.

When ready to dose, place a tea strainer or prewetted J-cloth in a mug and pour the liquid from the flask. The shape of the flask allows you to decant the solution with minimal grounds falling out - the strainer or J- cloth will catch those that do.

Drink contents of mug, add more hot water to the flask and repeat.

This method is great for taking to work. It takes minimal preparation in the morning and the flask keeps the water hot enough to assist the extraction. By brew time, you can be pretty confident that the poppies have mashed long enough to give a decent dose. I've been doing this 3 or 4 times a day on the same grounds - even leaving the previous days grounds in the flask and just adding more the next day.

I take it from that photo of them on the dry you use all the pods in one go?
How foul does it taste? (I've taken a good cross-section of RC's in water n my time so I can take bad tastes but that 4-HO-MET fuck me eeeuuuggghhhh)

You mods etc & without question that FUBAR better start showing me some damn respect or I'll pay someone from my Opium army I keep on hand to protect my crop from being robbed by hipsters to cut your fingers off.

Upon thinking now I did wonder only a few days ago where the heads to some of them had gone to as I didn't take them & the two drunks under me have no idea about anything but Carling. I better set up a CCTV camera & 24/7 armed guards now,

A decent dose for me is about 7 dried pods crushed and brewed. I no longer have an opiate tolerance so this is just my annual treat.

It doesn't taste foul at all. If you use lemon juice it just tastes like lemon tea. But do not add sugar or milk, because that makes it taste shit.


As for the cultivar, I haven't got a clue. I pissed around for a couple of years with shop bought seeds and the germination rate was terrible. Then I found a bag of seeds my dad gave me years ago and now I can't keep the fuckers down.

No special soil, just bog standard garden soil. Absolutely no attention required.
