Alot of the board regulars know better than to get me started on dance music as I'll bore the pants of anyone within 10 seconds but you've got me started now. It looks like the promo vid has disappeared from youtube, so if you can stand the poor quality Ive managed to find a couple of vids taken by some of our guests from a couple of our 2009 parties. It doesn't do justice to what we achieved but since is this is probably the only chance Ill get to bring this venture up, here are the mobile phone recordings taken by a couple of the dance floor cru.

Sid, they're only crap and short, you cant even see the production we put into the club as the vids are just 2 minute jobs taken by dancing chavs.

I had all the live recordings and decent videos on a Hard Drive that went canker so I dont have anything left from the night. As part of the promotion I used to host the latest sets on dontstayin.com but the cunts have long taken them down, so I need to get in touch with my DJ mate to see if I he still has copies but hes traveling all over the world half the time DJ'ing (hes a producer as well with his own label - his first 20 records or so were released on Metalhedz so hes always in demand and difficult to catch up with)

Good times man! Reminds me of when the scene in my local town was the best it's been, I was working as PR and in the bar of the place, so I knew everyone and got to meet all the DJ's, think the biggest name I met was Green Velvet, guy was nuts ha ha :)

What ever happened to the place then man? Round here someone bought over the 2 biggest clubs tried to go up market. Obviously people weren't interested and it fell flat in its face. Stupid cunts.

Know the feeling. Booze on its own for me just gets worse and worse, cant be assed with only booze anymore. Boring mongy dull bollocks. Been pretty much sober for a month

I definitely lost all track of reality for a while, not sure if I made it all the way down the hole, but it was a blast and I'll probably give it another go soonish. The one thing I don't like with K is the spinny lasts for a while after reality has mostly remembered how it fits together again, so I lose a fair few hours in bed waiting for it to settle out. It's a hell of a ride when it's going though.

Glad you enjoyed it. K didn't agree with me for some reason. I just have to stick with my acid and dmt
 
DMT is just plain bizarre. Last time I had it it was like I was on a boat drifting down a river with a female Buddha and master of the universe type figure at the end. I liked it but I can't see how psychedelics could ever become a regular part of anyone's drug regiment. Was more of a learning curve for me.

They are not in my experience meant to be taken with any kind of regulatory. They are more the every now and again type drug. DMT is without doubt the most intense, bizaare and crazy drug experience out there. Ive done a lot of dmt..i have not done it in ages and not sure if i will ever do it again but that shit changed me for life. I went from being a hardcore athiest to being spiritual because of my dmt experiences. No words can explain the things ive seen and experienced on that stuff.

We ran the night for 2 years but by the second year we had dropped the age restrictions down to 18 and we were concentrating more on classic jungle / d&b than the hardcore sound we started off with, but this only improved attendance with a 3rd of our events selling out in advance, not bad when you have a 900 capacity club to fill. Then just as things were going perfectly Gavin (the professional DJ who lead the Cloud 9 'team') who was always too cool for his own good decided to just stop doing the events - he wanted to kill the night off while it was still vibes rather than spend the next 12 months watching the night go downhill, so following a final sell out Cloud 9 around the time of our 2nd bday he told us that he wasn't going to do another one as he was satisfied with what we achieved in the city, which hadn't seen a decent club night since 2001, and between his constant traveling (he had a weekly London residency) and the fact that he was just starting a BA in event promotion he didnt have the time for Cloud 9 anymore, and wanted to see it go out while it was still kicking ass. He did a few one off C9's every few months in smaller venues but ultimately that was that.
 
The room appears to be trying to spin a bit, I'm not entirely sure why. Haven't had anything new in over an hour, I did have 40 mg of DXM total over the night, but I wouldn't expect that to have quite this effect. Granted this could be whatever is going on between the speed and the weed, but it doesn't really feel like that.
