This might be because I have no tolerance after not using meph for 18 months, or the fact that I'm fucked and my judgement is clouded, but this is up there with the best i've had. I probably won't be able to give it a fair verdict until I am sober again. Desperately trying to be sensible and not get on the blower to mates!

Be very, very, very careful indeed about going down that road. It is not at all a joking matter. You already know what it's like when you aren't getting enough of a µ-receptor agonist, and can I can offer you my personal assurances that it never gets any easier.

What I'm trying to say is, enjoy not having an opiate habit for as long as possible.

You're free to do whatever you like Evey but ffs dont start dabbling with heroin. if you liked Codeine theres a pretty strong chance you'll love heroin.

I assume its the booze playing a part in your thought to try smack so hopefully you'll think again.

Aint a road you want to be going down, especially with a young child. I speak from experience.
 
You'll be fucked if you try smack I can practically guaruntee that. If you can't keep a lid on codeine then the chances of you keeping a lid on smack are practically nil. Trying it once.....there's no such thing.
 
Can you really not just try heroin once? I've always wanted to know what it feels like. I've got strong will power generally so I was thinking that if I ever get the chance then trying a small bump (not injecting) then I'd like to go for it. Or is that crazy?

Of course you can, but I've never seen someone just take it once. It's not like it has some incredible pulling power that other drugs don't have, but it's enjoyable and so they take it again. Once that seal has been broken and you have taken it and it becomes part of the landscape of drugs that have been taken people will tend to go back to it at some point, and then it just becomes another drug same as all the others, the mystique has been broken. You can't even enjoy it properly unless you've got some sort of tolerance really imo, by which time you're probably fucked and going to pay if you want to stop.

The notion of 'just once' is something I've never seen fulfilled anyway, if there's a source there for more it will be used at some point.
