Just booted up a wee taste of morphine sulfate, 60mg IV, to top off the scrumptious feast I had for my brekky, which consisted of a mug of hot black lady grey tea, delicately flavoured with a few sprigs of freshly picked lemon balm, and a plate of chicken of the woods (sulfur polypore, Laetiporus sulfureus), dipped in an eggy breadcrumb batter and flash-fried in butter.
Pleasantly warm and itchy, got some Katatonia playing on the stereo, with a fox skull grinning away at me, perched on top of my computer monitor after finding it on a recent hike. All clean and everything, no eye bits or brain leakage out of the foramen magnum though, that would just be gross.
Methinks I'll throw in 40mg of oxy too while I'm at it and a few caps of chlormethiazole, thinking around 6oomg of that, plus a bit of clonidine, just a little, 200mcg or so.
Errgh, chlormethiazole base don't half taste nasty though. But it really does give the morphine/oxy shot quite a bit of extra kick (don't do this, folks, its dangerous if one doesn't have a tolerance, due to danger of respiratory depression. I'm quite happy with it though at this dose, having done it quite a lot of times in the past. Just the 40mg of oxy and 60 of morphine, so nothing too heavy going.
Mmmmm, the sulfur shelf in batter is really good too, might go pick some more whilst I go hunting for any ceps (Boletus edulis, aka porcini, and some B.appendiculatus, another truly scrumptious bolete) I missed yesterday. For dessert I'm having a big helping of the cherry ripple/candied cherry and vanilla ice cream I like, along with a few generous handfuls of wild bullace plums, lovely and sweet, yet with a nice tangy tartness to them as well. Some I'll eat fresh, straight as they were as they came from the bushes, some are earmarked to be pricked with lots of little holes and tossed into a bottle of dry gin, similar to sloe gin but should be sweeter, perhaps with a sprig of sweet fennel and a good handful of lemon balm, and I'll go pick more if I haven't enough to make some sorbet and jam/compotes. wild blackberries, japanese wineberries and maybe some sea buckthorn berries might well have a place in the bullace sorbets , jellies and jams.
The heminevrin has started kicking in on top of the opiates, had another 60mg shot of morph, and further 10 of oxy, might go get some diphenidine later on if I CBF getting off my arse and going to town; too busy right now, just enjoying a nice big plateful of fried sulfur polypore in eggy bread batter, a little sea salt added to the batter and sprinkled on top, with some tabasco, habanero sauce, dried peppery boletus (Chalciporus piperatus) and dried fly agaric to season it all.
