Hah jumped in at the deep end with opiates then. Ket, 2C-B, 4-HO-MET are all good fun. You will be able to go out picking mushrooms soon.
I also dont like the fact ive seen perfectly polite, decent people turn into the most arrogant, loud mouthed vile characters on that stuff if there having a session on it. Cokes got nothing on it in terms of egotistical bullshit. It changes people and not in a nice way...
plain mouthy, loud, obnoxious, edgy, random, unpredictable, wired etc...![]()
Deep end with everything really, maybe because I started later and in a less conventional way than most people? I mean, how many people do coke before even trying weed (even trying a cigarette... which I still haven't done)? I've been kind of wondering though, do you think that because I've been going for the extreme example of each type of drug first it means that I won't enjoy any of the lesser ones? <That reason is why I'm not sure about trying LSD as my first psychedelic.
Cocaine is wank in comparison.
Brick dust is wank in comparison.
I've thought about making a thread about this as it does weirdly bother me that I love the psychedelic experience, and would love to get into the culture more, but can't get into psytrance, I don't get it.
not recommending it at all, but have you (summer) tried mdpv? seems like it could work for you seeing how you like coke and all..
The 'psychedelic experience' is entirely what you make of it. Most 'psychedelic' music would make me want to kill somebody if I were to hear it whilst tripping on LSD, and that goes for the sixties stuff as well.
Don't think you're missing something because you don't get it - everybody's different, and music is highly subjective even without the added influence of drugs. Find your own way around, and remember: never trust a hippy.
I adore LSD, it's pretty much my favorite thing in the world, and I love psychedelic music ( Pink Floyd, Animal Collective, Shpongle, Ott, The Doors, Deerhunter, etc.) But I really don't like psytrance. I don't get it at all. On acid I want to listen to something deeply layered and textured, with rich and deep atmosphere and emotion, often world music influenced. Something that takes you on a journey. Something that sounds beautiful, peaceful and euphoric. Psytrance to me just sounds like the same bland, boring repetitive trance over and over again, with very little change in sound or mood. Seriously don't get it and why so many acidheads rate it so much. I know it's meant to be hypnotic, but to me it just sounds boring. Pink Floyd, Shpongle and a few Animal Collective songs however, I get absolutely lost in.
One time it sounded fairly good when coming up on aMT, it did feel a bit trancelike then and I sort of got it. But aMT is nowhere near as visual or colourful as LSD, and is less deep and spiritual (although it is a decent experience in it's own way.) I did get told psytrance was more of a tryptamine thing, maybe mushrooms suit it more. It certainly doesn't suit the places LSD takes me.

yeah that's true, what do you like to listen to on pys just out of interest?
Some people like taking drugs without wearing their penis down to a stump on a 3 day redtube bender with added shadow people.
