Word of Mouth by Ludacris is probably my favorite south album. So many crazy memories the year that came out. Not a fan of Southern stuff in general but I like a bit of old Outkast.
I forgot all about Ludacris. He's dope too. 3-6 is funny but seems more like novelty drug rap than anything else; almost like a southern Necro. I suprised myself by liking Li'l Whyte's first album but wouldn't consider myself a fan. I'm feeling Yelawolf lately too.
Yelawolf - "I Wish" (Pill's verse is ridiculous)
Yelawolf - "Pop the Trunk"
I can spend all day going through 90s memphis tapes on youtube and not get bored, so much great stuff.
easily. I remember hearing that around the same time as
GZA is indeed dope but you're right; Kool G Rap is sick. His pedigree is strong. Look at who else was in the Juice Crew: Kane, Biz Markie, Craig G, BDP...
I'd have to say though, that IMO Masta Ace is one of NY's finest. His flow is silk and he's been around forever.
Masta Ace - "The Other Side of Town"
Masta Ace - "Always"Masta Ace - "Nostalgia"
