The EADD Hip-Hop music thread

Yeah man, bang into UKHH too, and talking of PLC how about
who's this ?

Jehst is fucking mint, imho he's not as good in his current moody mode as he was a few years back (People under the weather, high plains drifter, welcome to new bohemia etc etc) but he's still superb. Braintax good too but not as good as Jehst.

^ You might be on about Kyze, he used to rap with giggs but hes in jail now i think. Not Kyza that was in terrafirma.

Ahh, that's what it'll be. It was a boy from Peckham I was talking to on holiday. He was banging on about Giggs as well so that's who he must have been talking about. I assumed he meant Kyza, he must have wondered what the fuck I was talking about when I was going on about that Lucozade Bottles track.

Dunno what Jehst's been up to lately, I think his last proper album would have been Nuke Proof Suit ages ago...2005. I think he's been doing a lot of label running and artist mentoring and shit like that... not sure actually. I saw him live six months ago, twas alright like, bit of a short set.

Not the terrafirma Kyza? So is that the Kyza that did the awesome track about selling weed? It was on some mixtape with the usual suspects (Braintax etc)

As for Jehst I haven't heard anything since that shit called the Mengi Bus (such a disappointment but there was some good verses there). Falling Down + Return of the Drifter are both pretty much flawless albums, probably my most listened to albums ever. There was supposed to be an album called 'Dragon of an Ordinary Family' coming out but heard nothing about it since. If you check YouTube for Jehst and sort by upload date there are still tracks coming out that he either produced or featured on.

Two fairly rare Jehst tracks you must check out:

Jehst - Alien
Jehst (ft Wordsmith & Scriblah) - Apocalypse When

Speaking of Wordsmith he does have some pure fire

Wordsmith + Foreign Beggars - Sticks and Stones
Wordsmith - Necro beat freestyle
Wordsmith Freestyle

I could go on forever but I'll stop here for now ;P

P.S Heard that PLC track before, tis noice <3

Indeed, I thought Chester P's response was better than Wordsmiths diss.

There was a fantastic Chester P freestyle on youtube, it was only about a minute long and had Remus in the background but haven't been able to find it in months - I guess it was taken off but it was fantastic. If I come across it again I'll post it here..

Can't believe theres some real UKHH heads here!

Not the terrafirma Kyza? So is that the Kyza that did the awesome track about selling weed? It was on some mixtape with the usual suspects (Braintax etc)

Got confused when I posted that. Was actually referring to Ricochet Klashnekoff, I knew it was someone with a terrafirma name :p (took me half an hour of searching for kyza tracks before I realised..)

Richochet Klashnekoff - Mad Runningz

Never heard of 'Kyze' till now

Yeah bud, the real Klashnekoff is epic - was just getting muddled up with 'Richochet Klashnekoff' and 'Kyze' earlier in the thread.

Surprised you didn't post Murda, pure fire. Jehst produced the track, anyone ever notice him in the video? ;P (and isn't that Kyza beside him doing the adlibs and chorus?)

Ahhh mister kay-lash is superb, fucking brilliant MC, and he's had some great production to back him up. Actually he's where my BL username came from. Jancroville where the streets are paved with shit. Focus Mode has a vibe about it which is distinct from other UK rap, to my rap-addled mind. He has his own thing going on. Super. Jamrock Takeover going on the hifi right now....

Check Skandal as well, his album was mint.

Tekken, do you like Black Rose by Klashnekoff? Does it have any sort of physical effect you'd care to describe?

I really like that track now you mention it, it gives me shivers

I might have alzheimer's but at least I don't have alzheimer's =D
