...How could anyone ever bitch about 'only' getting percocet? What else could you expect, a diamorphine prescription? :|
Yeah same, I've had about 8 teeth removed and never got anything...I do have a vivid memory of walking back from the dentist with a very bloody kleenex held over my mouth. I couldn't feel anything at all due to the anaesthesia and apparently I was making some very strange faces, according to my mom. I didn't get at the time why everyone in the street was staring but.. =D

Knowledge of UK/US treatment gained from reading medical fora -

Tooth extraction:
UK - ibuprofen, US - Vicodin or Percocet

Panic attacks:
UK - Antidepressants, US - Xanax, Valium

RLS:
UK - Fuck all, US - Valium, codeine, Percocet

:!

My GP is on holiday for 2 weeks, and I need my morphine back. My back is hurting, but not a chance any of the other GPs will OK it.

Tried Volterol today, utter shite tried it with some co-co might as well had a smartie.

With OH getting back massages but still not enough.

Just switched to Pregabalin from Gabapentin and it is much better, like Gabapentin's sharper, cooler older brother.

Better pain relief and FAR less side effects. I actually possess short term memory now and don't feel so much like my brain is full of treacle.

^ Good news! :) ^^ Bad news! :(

In pain news, MamaSham gave me a bottle of...

... t'other day. Have been using it recently and must say it seems to help. A bit. No idea how much of that is down to placebo (but suspect not very much as I have zero faith in homeopathic stuffs and didn't come with the usual lengthy consultation to boost the placebo effects). Probably more down to the actual oils themselves. Just wish it wasn't needed in such an inaccessible area of the body. Am surprisingly flexible for a "cuddly" cunt but am buggered if I can reach all the way round, up and back there :!

I needs me a masseuse dammit :X

^Aaah my mom always used to give me that! Had the exact same reaction as you actually =D
But hey, if it's helping...(maybe try reaching from above? Probably very dumb and pointless of me to tell you but eh)

Have tried it from all angles, Pagey (fnarr) and is just not happening. Can reach the area in question and apply oil, just can't rub it in properly (fnarr) so don't get the additional benefits that the massage element intended would provide. Massage always used to help actually. Only short-term but if there's somebody around to assist in that area regularly that's not such a problem. Anyone near me up ferra bit o' Shambles rubbing? SHM, perhaps? Or - even better - Mrs SHM? Or - ideally - a greased-up threeway? =D

Hahahaha took me a sec to understand why you were writing "fnarr" but those are pretty good ;)
I'm trying to think of utensils you might be able to use to reach that area...like fly-swatter type stuff? Except maybe with not all the dead fly meat on it :?

I'm sure I could find a utensil ferra bit of oily reacharound action (fnarr) but that's not really the problem. It's just that all I can do is apply it superficially without the intrinsic additional benefits or giving it a damn fine 'n' firm, deep 'n' greasy rubbing (fnarr).

I bloody <3 the word "fnarr" and take every conceivable opportunity to whip it out in public and show it off (fnarr). Perhaps somewhat annoying and confuzzling for those unfamiliar with the term but once you've looked it up you get to learn one of the finest words in the English language and are then able to use it, abuse it and share it with friends and family (fnarr). As such, I'm sure anybody encountering it for the first time may be initially put off but a short time later will be immensely satisfied by its awesomeness. Which, coincidentally, is exactly what she said.

I'm a fat bastard and have no problems reaching said areas. Can also put my leg behind my head. How's about that for a mental image?

Yeah Gabapetin made me find it difficult to get words out when I was speaking, really really annoying. Pregabalin at the equivalent dose is more effective and as you say way less side effects.

Still it just ain't enough. Can't wait to see my usual GP, so I can up dose, although I doubt she will give me morphine till I have tried higher doses. Might ask for something for the break through pain, when it gets really bad.

You on the DHC yet Shambles? Any better?

No DHC this month as am waiting for the consultant to get in contact with the GP. Got me usual script this month with no tapers in place though. Next month should start to see changes.

*imagines curious with his leg behind his head, gets all of a fluster, considers going away for a serious think about curious*

Sore as a mother. Been struggling to make it up and down stairs this week, sorta given up on the whole idea of stairs all toghether.

^^This!! =D Also, congrats on bloody awesome usage of the word if I may say so Mr.Shambles

'In March 2011, the Oxford English Dictionary announced it had added an entry for "fnarr fnarr" as part of its regular update' <3
