Have removed a coupla posts before this thread turns into a price-sizing mess. Price of AMT seems to vary widely (as does quality :\) so probably best to leave it at that as it's not really adding anything to the discussion. Move along, folks - nothing to see here :)
 
Wow, those prices are awful. A little less than a decade ago I was getting it for about 30% less than the lowest price here. If you're going by actual production costs it should really only be about 1/10th of that if not less, however.

Strangely I still never tried the stuff, mostly it went down the drain in ye big DOB overdose.
 
This last HCL batch I have is definitely better than the freebase I had last time.
Still has the same characteristic smell but not as strong and gives a bit more energy thank goodness.

nuke, even at today's ridiculously overinflated prices it's worthwhile. If not for the dosage variability and lack of potency, it might have been more popular since the 60s, right alongside say, p. cubensis.
 
I tried some amt on Tuesday for the first time and have to say I am very impressed with it.
Did not really know what to expect, quite a long, steady build up getting happier and happier.

Lasts a very long time but it is not as stimulating as E for me. No mad rush but definite euphoria :)
 
I have had a small sample (2-3 doses) for about 6 months now. I love psychedelics but I need to be in the right frame of mind to do them, and the situation has to be just right or else I end up worrying and defeat the purpose of doing them in the first place.

AMT lasts even longer than LSD apparently so finding the time when you know you have nothing to do and nobody is going to phone you or call on you out of the blue expecting you to give them a hand or something. I agree with bogman that it'd be better outside. I'm definitely going to give it a whirl this summer (or spring) when the weather gets a little bit better. I imagine it'd be wonderful stuff for a walk or a bit of a hike.

I'm tempted to try a small 5mg dose and go about my business as normal to see how it affects me, as everyone is always going on about how good it is as an anto-depressant. Does anyone know if its safe to do with opiates?

I think we need to sort something out like a hike up the wicklow gap and backpack with flask and sandwiches and AMT! Yum!
 
I'm still trying to find a decent dose with this, I think my last go was 60-something mg (I've forgotten) & it was milder than I liked. I'm running out now so I'm gonna have to switch to vaping.

What do people think would be a good vaped dose, equivalent to 80mg oral?
 
I don't really find that aMT lasts as long as many people report. I found that with a 40mg oral dose, pretty much all effects had ceased within 9 hours and I could sleep after 12. Though this seems to be subjective as one person I did it with couldn't sleep for about 20 hours and another was nodding off about 8 hours into it! This was all without any downers, though I would recommend having some on hand. I didn't get a comedown but just felt physically drained.

I have done opiates about 6/7 hours into AMT and experienced no problems. I don't see how it would cause problems really. Though I'd say you should research it really. I thought doing opiates at the end of AMT was nicer than benzos as the latter tend to halt the 'trippy' effects quickly whereas opiates seemed to synergise better and the trip just entered a slow, dreamy phase rather than being quashed in its tracks! As with everything though, YMMV, as I know there are lots of people that like doing benzos at the end of a trip. I mean I'd take them anytime if there weren't any opiates around haha.

Briefly. At least we'd know to stock up for the coupla months it remained legal. Some things are just not meant to go mainstream like meph - AMT has some MAOI action (albeit it fairly mild) so potentially rather dangerous to mix with some drugs. Meph may well be toxic, AMT probably not very toxic but used wrongly could go very wrong indeed. I suspect more people would die than with legal meph if it swept the country in the same way. 24 hours is a bit too much time for many to invest on such a regular basis though so hopefully more self-limiting than meph was.
 
That's somewhat how I'd look at it. People will stock up. I too have seen it available by the kilogram. A comment you made in another thread somewhere in EADD hit the nail on the head I think; the extent and depth of the coverage of mephedrone and it's swift legal demise will make it difficult for any "new" chemical (whether it's actually new or not) to stay around too long. It's odd, mephedrone was for a long while right on that point of exploding/tipping, and the deaths of those two guys was the catalyst (regardless of whether mephedrone actually caused their deaths or not.)

Thanks for the info on it having MAOI properties, I'll read up on that.
