the beginning middle and end of AMT almost feel like completely different substances to me, I don't really get much proper psychedelia until many hours in, to start with it's mostly just MDMA style euphoria.

Agreed. Takes a good 8 hours or more for the swirls to kick for me. Mostly MDMAeque for the first few hours and with an extended fade-out and afterglow that's not quite like either. Leaves me feeling great for weeks afterwards too like Bare Head mentioned. One of my very favorite toys :)
 
I've tried it several times now, both at home and in a club environment. I agree with the comparisons to MDMA, but the comeup is somewhat comparable to one of the 2C's for me. Shivery sensations, feeling slightly uneasy, some time spent on the bog etc. =D

But yes, it can be quite easy going once over that initial hurdle. I would much prefer to take this in a club than acid. Muchos confusion, giggles, swirls, and floaty goodness. To all you people putting it off, seriously, don't worry about it. Just take it. I too put it off for well over a year of having it, and after I took it I wondered what the hell it was I was so afraid of. T'is an interesting one for sure. :)

its mdma like and then swirls etc, o ye i like the sound of that.

the only thing is it would need to be planned as doing it on a sunday evening with work on a monday would be ropey but what a way to spend your saturday.

now to start the search................................

I don't recommend this (amt+gbl). I did some before going to an afterparty, never did make it. Instead I spent about 5 hours on my sofa, gurning and writhing about uncontrollably. I was wired, it wouldn't stop, my body hurt, my mouth hurt, my eyes had headaches and still my jaw soldiered on. Not good.

Teeny-tiny therapeutic daily doses or full-on frolicking, I'd say. It lasts a long time but I don't find it exhausting myself. The swirls are kinda part of the deal if you want more than the purely anti-depressant effect. Once you get going you rarely want it to end, in my experience :)

But maybe not Tranced's - not really an ideal late night comedown and carry on type drug 8o:D8o
 
aye good point shamballs. it's not like i've ever heard of this stuff in the papers or that it's likely to get banned with the likes of meph & gbl. it does sound nice tho.

i'd be a wee bit wary of the duration, do you ever take it & halfway thru think "fuck, i wish this would go away?" i know i've had that with acid when stupidly eating more halfway thru a trip. it gets to the point where i'm bored of it but things just won't stop moving about
 
I'd find it hard to get bored of AMT halfway through myself, PC. I'd say the same of LSD though cos I loves me swirls 'n' shivers and both provide much. AMT probably delivers even more in the reliable (and assuming a less than perfect time laying with Lucy) outright euphoria stakes though - hard to get bored of bliss ;)

EDIT: "Subtle" sourcing hints still count as sourcing, Mr You-Know-Who-You-Are :)
 
I like the sound of this AMT.

I'm sure I saw it online a few years back on one of the original headshop/legal high sites. Unless I'm thinking of something else. I'm sure it was AMT.

I've had it, but not really half way through. What you sign up for innit.

Acid & AMT is an awesome combination that people should definitely partake in - we call it an Antiflip. A few trips + 60mg AMT should seal it. =D <3

A 10mg dose is what was used in the Soviet Union as the medicine Indopan. The Russians had this as a non controlled prescription antidepressant for nearly 30 years (60s-80s) until it was withdrawn because people were starting to abuse it!

The US had AET as an antidepressant for 2 years in the early 60s until it was withdrawn for causing fatal cases of agranulocytosis; luckily something AMT doesn't cause

20 years ago, when next to no-one had heard of it, it was available from chemical firms which supplied universities etc for a piss cheap price (yes I bought loads of it - lasted me fuckin' ages!). Bet it's not easy to get from them these days! ;)
