The EADD Academia and Writing Thread

i wish i had kept a couple of my essays which i got good marks for, i possibly still have them somewhere, the vast majority were just unispired reguritating the contents of various books and research papers. It doesnt surprise me that i got my best score in the 'drugs and society' module, the only essay in which i truly put some of my own 'original' thought in to come to my own conclusions about what all the academics had allready written.

I graduated 3 years ago now with an LLB (Law)... I was having a look through my files to see if I have anything worth sharing but the only two essays that got particularly high marks & might have been interesting to some don't seem to exist anymore.

I just mentioned it in another thread this morning, but I've decided to teach myself Physics... won't be looking at them quite yet but I've downloaded the MIT lectures that are available. Whether or not I'll make my way through the whole course eventually is another matter altogether. ;)

Did an LLB too, but the only stuff worth repeating here would be the essays I did for my criminology modules. I remember one about glaswegian sex workers (get on top and get the job over with pronto) and another about fair-weather heroin users in the 80s and the media's mythologisation of heroin addiction. I don't think I even kept copies at the time, let alone 10 years down the line.
