i'm currently job hunting again after relocating to a new city.
finding a job is as challenging as ever and, if i've learned anything during jobhunts in the past, it's that mining my network of contacts to try to get a personal introduction tends to produce much better results than sending in an application cold. the primary tool i use for this is linkedin which makes identifying and executing introductions a snap.
what's your experience of networking with specific reference to find a job?
perhaps we can use this thread to widen our networks, also? i'm currently trying to make a connection with somebody that works for zipcar. anybody know anybody?
