The Drugs and Music Mega Thread

Listening to music on acid is the highlight of my life. Every time.

My all time favourite album to listen to (while tripping and straight) is Radiohead's Kid A.

Anything by Radiohead, its simply the best music ever created IMO

Been getting into some really sweet dubstep lately, need to get my own collection and start mixing. I've partied a lot in my life but find nothing more fun to dance to these days.

What album did you have on repeat in your drug using prime?

I've been listening to the Stadium Arcadium album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers again recently. It just reminds me so much of my drug using prime.

That album came out at the same time that I was getting into opiates, particularly H. I played it for months straight, as I was working delivering pizzas, making just enough to get me high and pay for my car insurance.

Driving around at night as the summer was ending and that "hoodie weather" was starting. Meeting up for bags of H on my way to delivering pizzas, pulling over, dumping them onto a CD case, and feelin right. Friends were going back away to school, but it was o.k., I had that 2-disc album on repeat, great dope, and just enough money for a pack of smokes and a little gas to keep me goin.

So what was the album that defined your drug using prime?

Great song from the 90's! Brings back memories for sure.. There are tons more drug songs I could name but it would take me like 10hours to type them all...

"There's still some of the same stuff we got yesterday..." lol i love that quote cause we can all relate im sure...
 
^Just checked it out, orig. and some covers. Great song! Nice lyrics. I like 'Hurt' by NIN. A classic for sure. Also, 'Sober' by Tool. Many more - I'll ponder a bit.
 
I like too many songs while high. Drugs make music I wouldnt normally like sound pretty good. If I had to pick a song I really like, it would be "Smugglers Blues" by Glenn Frey, this is an oldie but goody, "Heroin" by Velvet Underground is pretty good also.

Time to Pretend by MGMT.

i related sooo much to that song when i was using. and i listened to it SO much that i couldnt listen to it for a year without being reminded of "the better days".
