The Drugs and Music Mega Thread

they are beats at frequencies that tune into our brain waves and then alter them.
so, in a manner of speaking, mimicing the effects of drugs, yes..

That's crazy..have you ever listened to it while sober? I'm just curious as to the effectiveness of it.

Maybey binaural beats are the key to turning buprenorphine into a full agonist!

There are different kinds (at different frequencies) - to help you fall asleep, for meditation, even to assist with learning.
I listened to the sleeping ones, drifted off to sleep and had crazy dreams about some hardcore unpleasant stuff that was happening in my life at the time, stuff I was refusing to think about consciously.
Woke my housemates screaming from my nightmares.
So, I guess I can say that they definitely connect your consciousness with your subconscious mind.
I think the idea is to listen to them sober.
But I wonder what they would be like with shrooms ;)

My DOCs are opiates, stims, and weed. Music more dependent on subjective mood than anything...

Usually good old fashioned metal for stims. Opiates tend more towards GOOD rap with heavy and slow back beats

I know that others will disagree with me, and probably laugh at me for this...

But when I've scored some dope, riding shotty, ripping open bags and racking up lines... I like to put on some fucking club-thumping, bass-rattling, gangsta-ass shit... music with very little integrity but that sounds good, sounds means, because I always feel like such a boss after making it safely out of the projects with a bundle and a toot in my snoot, vacuuming up lines. lol

I listen to good music as well, I swear, or, at least what I would describe as "good music..." but I'll save that music for when I'm amped up, motivated, and feel like I can truly appreciate every single note...

It's just that, when I'm doing dope, I'm doing dope to shut off my circuits... I don't want to have to think, and I don't want to have to appreciate... I just want to melt away; so it's just not the time for the good stuff I really enjoy and really appreciate... if that makes any sense.
