The Drugs and Music Mega Thread

Your favourite float away/ chillout tunes

When you're in that dreamy, floaty, warm state induced by benzos or opiates..
What are your tunes of choice?

Today I've taken: 1 x panadein forte (30mg codeine), 1 x tramadol (100mg) and 3mg alprazolam (no tolerance).
I'm feeling nicely fuzzy, and been flicking through my music collection.
At the moment, a randomly downloaded Chillout Summer Lounge 2010 Collection is really working for me.

What's everybody else listening to?
What do you recommend?

<3

Okay, clear_sky, this is not aimed at you as you are new here, but for everyone else, let's please try not to repeat threads. You can always use the search engine to see if there is a similar thread already existing.

That being said, I will merge this.

When I'm really chilled, I like almost anything by Pick Floyd, something like "Comfortably Numb". Oops, am I showing my age again or do you guys know who that is?

Did you really just askt hat? i think just about everyone knows who pink floyd is

Opiates - Cello Metal, Deep House.

Cannabinoids - Deep Dub, Drum and Bass, Glitch Hop.

When I'm really chilled, I like almost anything by Pick Floyd,
But I never know which one...!:\

I dunno, I listen to anything that sounds good really anytime. If i'll listen to it fucking high than i'll for damn sure listen to it sober too! Lately though i've been listening to Sleepy House by Blind Melon a lot as well as the Blind Melon album in general.

Blackenedwhite by Mellowhype
Rainforest Ep by Clams Casino
Black Triage by Teargas & Plateglass

Stimulants(meth, coke, addies)/Ecstasy:
Tranceport by Paul Oakenfield

Every time I rail a line of oxycodone I listen to this mash-up of Rihanna/Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" and Guns N Roses' "Paradise City" by DJs from Mars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBIFMwi0bD0... The abusive relationship in the song is kind of how I see my relationship with oxy... take that for what you will.

All of the "Best of Bootie" mash-ups are free to download and awesome... Best of Bootie. If you like mash-ups, I suggest you go here now... you're welcome. %)

I also listen to a lot of Against Me!, Jimmy Eat World, P!nk, Queens of the Stone Age, Leftover Crack/Choking Victim, Cursive, The Killers, Dresden Dolls, Beatles, Stockyard Stoics, Papa Roach... I'm usually on an opioid/benzo/cannabis combo. If I'm on stims, I listen to a lot of shitty pop music... like, "Now That's What I Call Music Volume 483548" or whatever. I know it's lame as fuck, but I like very light, familiar music when I'm wired.

Sometimes I'll listen to Broadway show tunes like the Original Broadway Soundtrack to RENT or Spring Awakening. (Oops, letting my queer flag fly a little bit... :p) I also like the soundtracks to Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. (Fuck you, Quentin Tarantino... haha.)

My phone's ringtone is "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes. That should say something... ;)

"It feels like Jesus on the cross"

I'll go a bit more in depth

psychadellics/THC:
Morbid Angel
Burzum
Dark Throne
Deicide

Stimulants:
The Stooges
Talking Heads
Blondie

Opiates:
The Velvet Underground
Choking Victim
(certain)David Bowie
Mudhoney
Alice in Chains
The Stooges (again)
Ol'' Dirty Bastard
Bob Dylan

And well...shit, I don't even listen to music anymore really. And by my musical choices you can all probably tell I'm a masochist when it comes to tripping-but I've never been chill to begin with.

When on opiates I like to listen to depressing music like Bright Eyes, Cursive, Brand New, and so on because I can't feel it.
When on speed I like electronic music more and hardcore punk! Coke is all about the punk rock. Benzos... I can't remember (Go figure :\)
When drinking alcohol I like punk... especially Blood for Blood, Irish music like Dropkick Murphy, and Flogging Molly.
When on Hallucinogens I like Goa-Trance like Shpongle, 1200 Micrograms, Infected Mushroom. etc..
When on dissociatives I listen to ALOT of tech

opiates: nothing > GOOD jazz (namely early Coltrane)> early 90's hip hop (mainly with h, though. idk why)
stimulants (adderall, ritalin, coke, etc): dnb, hard dubstep, moombah
weed: anything and everything
acid: hard electronic music/jam band/folk

sorry, I don't just have 1 favorite drug, lol

Haha, I mean, I guess I get it, coke and punk rock, but I usually equate cocaine with more like, Guns N Roses, some sleazy disco bands, and whitney Houston,
