The Drug Culture Video/Documentary Thread

"Hippies" on History Channel - about LSD, 1960's, etc

Very interesting, i'm watching it right now. Anyone else watching it.

Very cool that at the Human Be-In they were giving out free LSD in the free turkey sandwiches :)

I love documentaries on drugs, if anyone knows of any other on TV, DVD, or on youtube, PLEASE post a link / title here.
 
yeah im watching it :D ... I love watching stuff like this, it sort of clues me in to what drug culture was like back then.

i assume you've watched the 4 "Hooked: Illegal Drugs" series on the History channel. If not, youtube has links to 2 of the doc's, the opioid/morphine/heroin one, and the cocaine one. Both are around 43 mins long and SO FUN/interesting to watch especially when bumping lines of C, or buzzing on an opiate or blazing a nice joint :)

im fucking glad I didnt get slipped god know how much lsd in a dirty hippy sandwich. Don't fucking dose me you hippies.
 
There were a couple of threads in here recently that covered several heroin docs- almost all were available online iirc.
 
I caught this. It was awesome. I shoulda been 21 'round 1969. I was born in the wrong era, but then again, I would probably be dead. Seriously, the sixties... nothing like them. And never will be again. What a wonderful time to be alive. At least I still have my Mother and Father to tell me all about their lives as hippies, activists and the good ol days. :)

There's going to be a show on CNN tonight about opium/heroin/Afghanistan.

Yeah, this has been on several times.. The history channel has a whole series of these drug documentaries. <3 the history channel.
