In an attempt to keep things civilized, a few guidelines have been written. They're pretty easy to follow, so please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with them:
WHAT TO POST:

The format for discussion threads is less strict. At a minimum, try to pose a question to open up the conversation for people.

These threads are reserved only for official government proceedings. Media coverage of the proceedings belong in a News thread.
Note: The DPMC mods reserve the right to edit your posts to meet formatting/stylistic standards. We will not edit the content of your post (assuming it doesn't violate other rules), but we will edit it into the proper format to maintain a clean, uniform look across the subforum.

- General board rules apply, and can be found in the Bluelight User Agreement. Lively discussion is welcome and encouraged, but name-calling and flaming will not be tolerated. And as always, do not attempt to purchase or sell drugs in any thread. The information will be edited, and your posting privileges may be potentially removed as a result. Don't even try it!
WHAT TO POST:
- Begin new threads with an article, video, or policy topic related to psychoactive drugs (not just any pharmaceutical).
- All article and video threads must be drug-related. Drugs, drug policy, and anything related!
- You may also post a drug policy discussion thread, with no media article. These sorts of threads will serve as a dedicated space to discuss the merits or pitfalls of various drug policies. If you post a duplicate thread, it will be merged into the existing one about that topic.
FORMAT OF ARTICLE THREADS:
- Thread title should be copied exactly from the title of the article. This is for archival purposes, it doesn’t matter how hyperbolic it may sound!
- Put the title at the top of the OP.
- Link to the article on the title.
- List the author, publisher, and date published below the title.
- Excerpt(s) of a few paragraphs should be posted in a quote box.
- When making a new thread, please post the article alone and THEN, in a separate post, any comments you might have.

- Check that someone else hasn’t already posted on the same article, video, or policy discussion topic!
- Moderation staff will tell you why your thread has been edited or closed. If we forget to do this (very likely), please send us a PM so that we can explain.
- Drug bust articles aren’t necessary. There is a dedicated sticky for drug busts!
- Mods reserve the right to make judgment calls as necessary. Contact us if needed!
- Articles should be recent, unless the topic is particularly important in retrospect!
