LOL Rainbow tickets are 180 something plus like a $17 booking fee for early bird? And $280 on the gate .. What a joke. With other awesome events coming up that are not commercial, i think we'll happily give it a miss.

I've never before been to RSF. Is it 'too' big?
I found with smaller doofs there was not as much atmosphere, especially if you do not have a big crew.
I love the idea of doofs and have been to a few now, but I don't particularly love psy. This is a problem. D: However, I love all sorts of other electronic music .. hmpf

Meh. I wouldn't be so harsh oh great tattooed one. I can't speak for years ago, but RSF is pretty good because of the vibe, stalls and workshops. Plus, since I like psy, tech house and techno, I was a very happy camper moving between stages for those few days. It's probably about 50-50 doofers-clubbers I'd say, give or take. It's certainly not like one of the more poncy events they have in Sydney, where everybody dresses nicely and drinks white wine on a big lawn :D You'd actually like RSF I reckon.

i want to know, what sort of 'hippies' charge that much money per head on entry??
surely they could reduce the price a little - at least to compensate for those who need to drive a length of Australia to the experience.. $197 for an early bird ticket is insane!

Although I'm quite certain that it is a spectacular festival in it's many ways, colors, shapes, smells - i'll have to give it a miss yet again.
maybe next year i'll strike the lottery!

To you guys/girls slagging off the 'expensive price' of rainbow serpent tickets, I don't think you quite understand the amount of money and effort that goes into this festival.8) 250 odd dollars over 4 days equates to about $60 a day and for what you get for $130 for a single day at the more Commercial festivals, it's pretty bloody good value.
Tim Harvey and the crew work their arses off for a good 9 months of the year organizing this and to think they make huge profits is a big misconception. Profits made on this go to the local hospital and although the guys get paid a salary for doing their jobs, it is not a huge amount.
If you save a couple bucks a day from now until the event, i'm sure you guys can work out a ticket. If not, get on board and volunteer and work 4 hours or so for your ticket!
