The Doof Thread

Do you even bother setting up a tent? Very few of the doofs we attend are just one night. Most will run from Friday through until Monday morning but we will normally head home after a Sunday morning stomp.

The doofs I attend drug takers appear to be in the minority. I usually have to be at work 7.30am Monday morning so a few hours sleep Sunday morning are usually better for my mind and soul than 48hrs awake with 2hrs driving either end of nonstop dancing. I like arriving mid day, set up our site and sink a couple of beers with the campsite next to us while it's still light and I'm starting to come up. It is harder for me to feel part of a community if I'm arriving after dark. Having a shady and inviting spot with plenty of decorations somehow attracts a lot of new and interesting people. Blueberry pancakes before a morning stomp is more enjoyable for me than sitting sketchy in my car trying to find some papers. I rarely get any comedowns so i guess its each to their own really. Different folks, different strokes....

we just set up deck chairs n a matt or somthing.if anyone needs a sleep they can use the car.every time i've felt very welcomed as we've rocked up me n a mate know most the people who throw the doofs in perth and junkie skumbag seems to be a commen name at the doofs i go to ;) as soon as we got a fire rockin everyone comes up to our camp n had a good chat.i dont bother with a tent i just sit around the camp fire rambeling shit to random people.tbh the halloween doof is going to be the first doof i've stayed more than 1 day at.i've never slept at a doof before this will be the first one i'll be sleeping at (i think) dont get me wrong we set a great camp site set up our cars surrond our fire with chairs all around our fire and a matt if somone decides to pass out ::)

Last doof I went to I saw some kids. Nice vibe and some great tunes. There's a nice looking doof with a nice dark line-up in vic if anyone is interested. Creatures of the night it's called. Run by Silent partner or something.

PS. I have been to about 8 WA doofs so far and only ever had one bloke go nuts.

at about 3.45am he starts up his chainsaw and begins cutting down live trees..... lets just say that sound of a chainsaw at that time of the night/morning along with the full on dark psy, wasnt giving trippers the best vibes :sus:

i think i was at the one.was that at the fula flava one???the first doof i went to i saw some guy loose his shit full on he was on a massive dose of shrooms then snorted a fat line of that amsterdam molly i was getting at the time.he ended up in the fetal position in the middle of the dance floor.everyone turned off the music til he got his shit together.poor bugger.i semi freaked out at fula flava (just before i bumped into you afa) smoked 200mg of dmt by mistake thinking it was 60mg jesus it was intense.the 15 or so motorbike ripping around in the morning was really fucking with the 80mg of mxe i had :p ended up getting lost in the bush while i was on mxe lol went for a piss n was stumbling around the bush for a good 15-20 mins managed to get back to the doof but came out a good 500-800mtrs from my tent lol

yeah I think it was shut up and dance

hahahha fucking hell 200mg dimmers would have been WILD, one point changed me for good hahaha. I swear its just the usual in WA for the bloody dirt bikes to go hoon-ing round, i think earth dance was the first doof where i didnt hear any bikes lol.

I remember at kinetic dreaming going for a bush walk at about 2am about 1-2km into the bush (just when its hard to tell which direction the music is coming from) started trip checking myself cuz i thought i could hear talking. anyway i put it down to me tripping since i was candyfliping. had a 20 min meditate in the bush mmmhmmm. LOL yeah as i was taking a piss i could swear there was a group of people sittin a few meters away from me talking about me whilst i had my dick out TRYING to take a piss then i just walked in the diorection of where i thought the music was comming from after about 20 mins i saw a car through the bush and stumbled my way to it after tripping over 3-4 times i made it out of the bush and just figured out where i was at the doof.comming down from meth didnt help too much with the paranoia.
had a look at the cost for outfits and gonna cost me a good 100+ for a wilfred outfit guess what i'd rather spend my money on ;) i'll be going as junkie skumbag i guess.i want a biiiiig camp this time everyone has to come join our camp n chill round our crankin fire :p im bringing 2 first timers to this one, one of them from the Uk whos busting to experience a aussie bush doof + a bunno girl ;) and i've talked my dad into commin on sataday and my trusty doofer buddy brimmy hopfuly tanq will be able to make it on friday night :D
 
Im actually considering going to the halloween one, first time in years, if anyone has the location/fb page pm me.
 
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkk the doof has been change a fair bit due to weather.no fires will be aloud (besides 1 or 2 big ones) as the location is a proper venue witch also makes me think there may be police presence of some sort.the date has changed from the 26th-28th to 12PM on the 27th til 3 on the 28th.....bit of a unorganized crew if u ask me.not trying to dis them but they could of givin us a little more notice.at least there will be 2 stages now 1 mainly pych music and the other has dnb glich dubstep and break music
 
PLEEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE GIVE US THE WEEKENDER,

lets just go deeper into the bush and dance for longer :D
