Remember when nepalnt thought like 40,000 kids were dying every month or something and the number was actually like 1,200 total for all of 2020, 2021 and 2022 combined, and that number didn't even account for the difference of "from Covid" and "with covid"

I just noticed that the Nipah virus appears to have infected humans from around 1947 but the first cased in India were identified in 2001.


As they note, their have been 8 outbreaks since then.

I'm not confident in GB News as a source of accurate information. It's reported in a local newspaper but very briefly.

But to be fair, the good thing about local newspapers is that you can E-mail the journalist directly and they are generally happy to ask if any more facts had come to light (since they ran the story the day before).

I think the pertinent question is who builds a BSL-4 lab in the middle of a city with an international airport. Who funds it without ensuring it's safe?
