In the desert I saw the boy race
He smiled at her as she climbed the lake
At the top of the lake she'll find the lizard's nest
And kiss the stars goodnight and rest

The boy was laughing--he ate all the kaleidoscope pies
He's in love with the daughter of the snake--no lies
Her raven black hair looks pretty in lace
So intoxicated he felt as he saw her face

She smiled with delight as the sky turned red
"Thankyou my love," was all she said
Love so sweet
Touch so fine
Kisses sweeter than chocolate wine

The ocean is soft
What a perfect bed
The time is near
For the bride to wed

See the boy
He's not in haste
For his bride to be
He must be chaste

Therefore he knows
He must confess
His lady, his love
Deserves nothing less
Than the sky to match her wedding dress

So sweet a vice
Forever a sacrifice
On the night they wed
His love she did spread

And to this May
At night with her he lay
And looks at the beautiful Milky Way
Of which he is king
Forever and a day
