I thought about joining another drug forum, but none of them really stack up to BL imo. Shroomery seems to be psych based, drug forum is using SWIM left right and sideways, and grass city is pot only.

Yeah, SWIM was a big turn off when I discovered that one.

You're a Drug Extermination Agent, using your own body to fulfill the task :-) joking of course.
 
Yea, I didn't have this particular forum in mind, LOL. But there might be more political forums that are mostly made up of that kind of posters, or was created for that. It's a good way to spread agendas.
 
Funny how the only 3 replies to a stupid thread in BDD are by guys from P&S, whom I've never seen post in BDD before, and I don't really post there that often either.
 
Aren't you a Loungerat as well? I thought that place was always active. Not really my taste, though, so I don't even read it.
 
I am a loungerat, yeah, but I'm only there because I'm an oddball. I don't really belong, but I figure why not put myself out there. The Lounge is pretty much always active.

I'm more like Loungerat Junior.
 
I stepped on a PBR (beer) 40-oz bottle cap that was sharp side up in my pantry in the dark yesterday morning... before I stopped putting my weight down, it had cut a full half circle about a quarter inch into my foot pad, right on the bottom of my foot, in the front below my toes, it looks like it was done with a razor blade. I've been limping ever since, it fucking sucks. Also incredibly ironic... I am barefoot a lot, I prefer it. I even have gone "river hiking" probably 40 times in my favorite spot, which is an activity involving climbing/jumping/walking up a steep mountain river that is strewn with large boulders. To get up you have to climb waterfalls, balance on rocks of all shapes, sizes and textures, make big jumps, and do a lot of dangerous stuff, and I do it all with bare feet (better traction, you can use your toes for balance and grip, and it feels better). With all of that, and also walking around the forest barefoot, I have never hurt my foot even close to as bad as I did walking into my pantry. 8)

This will be hilarious later but at the moment it sucks, I have stuff to do but I'm hobbling around like an invalid.

Damn, that sucks Xorkoth! I have a pretty irrational fear of something like that happening to me, especially at beaches and other places where a lot of people spend their time, and also tend to throw shit on the ground (around here it's very common to find broken glass just lying around in the sand or on river banks). I like being barefoot, but the fear is way stronger. It may not happen, but if it does, it'll be extremely annoying, so I deem it not worth risking.
 
Yeah it depends on where I am, there are beaches and the like where I wouldn't go barefoot because of all the broken glass. The place I go river hiking is pretty unspoiled, people hang out at the very bottom but are generally quite respectful, I honestly never see ANY trash of any kind. And once you walk up the river even 5 minutes you're unlikely to see anyone else until you get to the next spot the parkway has a place to walk down from.

But yeah it does suck. :\ Now that I'm up and moving it feels better than yesterday though so that's good. It doesn't feel infected which is the main thing I was worried about.
 
I'm a barefoot person, too, Xork. Now that I am old is it coming back to haunt me, though--at least that's what the foot doctor tells me. About 4 years ago I had this incredibly painful thing called plantar fasciitis (an inflammation of the tissue that connects heel to toes) and the only cure is to wear sturdy running shoes all the time--even supposedly while showering! It was torture to wear shoes but I did for one year, because the pain was a good motivator, and it completely went away. Now it is returning and I'm in mourning. I wear one of two things if I do wear anything--flip flops most of the year or my cowboy boots when it's cold, and neither of them qualifies as supportive footwear. Supposedly going barefoot my whole life has contributed to this condition which is common for runners or overweight people neither of which I am. I am also a river rock jumper!<3 There are only two things in my life where I get to experience 'flow'--one is painting, the other is "running down a river by hopping rock to rock without decision-making. I've gotten a lot more cautious and it's harder to enter the flow as I've gotten older but sometimes the magic still happens.:)
 
Yeah river hiking, as I call it, is pretty much my favorite thing next to playing music. :)

I personally feel that going barefoot is healthier for my feet... it feels that way anyway. If (I'm on my feet all day with bare feet I feel fine, but I'm on my feet all day in shoes my feet and legs hurt. I was under the impression barefoot was healthier.
 
When I hitched out from Mich. to N. California about 40 years ago I landed on the Smith River. I spent 9 months rock hopping on the river fishing for cutthroat trout and living in a tiny cabin at the forks. It was some of the best time in my life. I was alone all day on maybe the most pristine river left in the US. My balance became pretty incredible and set me up for a career in Martial Arts. That was a good time to be footloose in this country. Rock hopping is amazing fun. After a while it becomes unconscious and you can be scanning a fishing hole and moving at the same time.
 
Glad to know my favorite pasttime is popular with others too. :) It feels so good... like life training. It gets you in shape, trains your balance, trains you to make quick decisions and overall it's incredibly meditative and focusing. Just being purely in the moment, your only concern is your next move.
 
Ha! Barefoot is the way to go! Streams and creeks are my forte, when I walk barefoot I don't get that pain in the ball of my foot that requires me to rub it. Gotta run with what the universe gave me.

I can also spread my big to and my middle toe apart from each other roughly an inch and a quarter, anyone else?

I had always attributed it to being double jointed.
 
I'm not a foot health specialist, but I believe most running/walking shoes are designed to have the foot in a favorable position, perhaps more so than when barefoot. I have to say that I always thought being barefoot was not unhealthy, if anything it was rather healthy. But I may be mistaken. I prefer flip-flops when it's possible to wear them, because my feet feel more freedom and air, and it feels closer to barefoot. I never wear anything more restricting than running shoes, not if I can. I actually prefer to be rather "free" in my clothing overall, which is why I mostly dress inappropriately.

Yeah I have "finger toes", they're very long and look like little fingers. I can move them quite proficiently, somewhat independently. And yeah I can spread them apart quite far too. :)
