samadhi -- coincidently, i actually did watch videodrome on acid on schoolies, and lets just say it was a very fucked up experience
smile.gif
i spent the whole film wondering 'did i hear that, or did i think it....man this acid is good....or is the movie just so fucked up....'
i suspect a combination of both
smile.gif
i'll have to watch it straight to figure out what were voices in my head and what weren't...

buckE...
Chances are, if you think you heard it, then it was probably in the movie...whoever wrote the screenplay for that movie was munching on some serious peyote buttons!!!
smile.gif

what about the bit where he looks at his stomach and there is that massive hole, then he puts his pistol into it, seems to "snap out of it" and can't find his gun?????hmmm...i watched that for the first time on acid when i was 15, woah......
oh!!!!!!!!!!! big shoutout to everyojne...have any of you seen a movie called "The Worm Eaters"?????? now that is some fuct up movie about people eating worms...i saw it when i was about 10, then again when i was about 17.
one other movie to watch...definitely straight or have a good pill...The big blue...that movie makes me cry and fills me with so many emotions all at once...

Energizer!
Finally someone else who's seen Christiane F!
I read the book about 5 years ago, and then i saw the movie (my principle to always read the book first otherwise you have images of the movie when you read the book and don't use your own imagination/perception) anyway, the book if you haven't read it it's called "H - the autobiography of Christiane F, child prostitute and heroin addict"
What i found fantastic about this book is the way she talks and thinks and refers to her 'scene' to think this was all the way back in the late 60's/ early 70's and although the scenes different, most the feelings aren't. You must read this book, it's excellent.
Also with the movie since it was german and pretty old the english voices over the top aren't too quality, but the movie is so graphic it's really well done, ie. shooting up scene in the toilet.
Oh and since it's a true story, i always wondered if she ever stayed of heroin, since it ended with her being clean . . . i found her website a while ago and it turns out she's about 40 ish now and she did get back in to it, and off and on for years, now she has a son, a baby and is clean, but who knows . . .
sorry this is prolly not relevant for those who haven't seen this movie, but you should, it doesn't have that hollywood aspect at all and should be about $2 in the true story section of your local video story. Rent it today.

hey icantfeelmylegs....what a cool name!!!
Yeah, The Big Blue...every time we get it on video, we watch it about 6 times. One night when a friend came up from sydney, we got some pills and watched it. Because the walls of our apartment are light blue, in the underwater scenes the whole room glowed blue...which was so phenomenal...and we also had our small water fountain going...which sounded soooo beautiful. To top it off, we had all had about 1.5 pills...you can imagine. At the end of the movie, we all looked at eachother and tears started rolling down our faces...we raved for about an hour about what it felt like to have SO many emotions running through our bodies from one moment to another....a truly beautiful experience...
i love how he can always gets underwater and above water mixed up...eg....when he and rosanna arquette meet again he says, "didn't i see you in the lake?"....god i'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it....
as you can see, i love that movie. it makes me
smile.gif
and
frown.gif
at once...
