“The Day the Earth Died”

(Reed Rosson)

My mind decides to wander and I pause
I’m a positive figure and I don’t resent my flaws
Learning to live, learning to love
Taught to give, for happiness is the cause

and so too I wish effect

Don’t ever take my kindness for weakness
Life can be full of simple sweetness
It’s all about tweaking your perspective
Everyone has the ability to be receptive

to an extent we’re innocent

The Day the Earth Died came and went all in a haze
It left me dazed and stuck, still pondering my ways
But it’s alright if I tell you it’s okay
Allow me to demonstrate if I may

and yes here I go again

I admit I was rather cloudy in the head
It was so early in the morning that I was layin’ in my bed
I wasn’t asleep, no I wasn’t awake
I was dead
It could just as well had been
the end right there ‘n then
~

hahaha, made me think don mcleans american pie.

specifically, the lyrics the day the music died

this can be sung just the same way:)

Loved the rhyming that still manages to fit without ruining the theme in this

It had a bluesy feel to me, a sort of "life's fucked but I'm ok now" feel to it.:D
