Okay so, sometimes swim comes home around dinner time and enjoys an 80 for the evening, ye know just to relax. For much of the next day swim still feels dragged down by the opiate, in his morning classes he does the whole head nod thing... swim has stopped doing it before school days but i really would like to know if theres a way to negate the after effects of oxycontin. kind of like when you do MDMA, its good to take 5HTP so the next day u dont feel like shit. PLS SOMEONE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS ONE ASAP. Oh and swim takes it by means of Insufflation, not orally, as swim knows the half life is ridiculously long. BTW shooting not an option. its gross

I'm glad you enjoy swimming iloveswimming, but we don't use SWIM at Bluelight. Please edit your post to use proper pronouns.

Regarding your question, the only way to cancel out the effects of opioids is with an antagonist like naloxone or perhaps more apt for you situation naltrexone. I think however that your next day symptoms are more to do with a poor nights sleep and very slight withdrawal than still actually being high. The only cure for that is coffee :).

If you are still high 12 hours later then it could be you are a very poor metabolizer. Oxycodone has an average half life of 3-4 hours and is metabolized by CYP3A with some 2D6.

OxyContin 80 is time released so depending on when you took it you could still be high...

^If the time release is just absorption speed wouldn't snorting as the ROA defeat it? Or if not "defeat" at the very least the only way it would be sustained release is if the OP had a nose full of powder all night long.

didn't read the last part : /

You shouldnt be feeling oxy the next day unless your tolerance is very low & you're over doing it. Other than that, like Ampola stated, drink some coffee or something.

^I would not recommend another even more powerful and longer lasting opioid to help with a slight hangover effect from occasional opioid usage.

I get the same after effects from oxy too, as well as poppy pod/seed tea, and I just smoke some pot or take a few benzos to take the edge off.

If your not an everyday opiate user than you will most likely feel a bit of an 'opiate hangover' the next day.. Headache.. nausea.. run down.. tired.. I used to feel like that all the time the day after I would do some heroin.. The only way to really get rid of this feeling aside from just resting or getting some sleep is the more tolerant you become to opiates the less horrible you will feel afterwards.. this is a double edged sword as if you become an everyday user then instead of being hungover the next day youll start to feel withdrawals.. and honestly.. I would rather feel a hangover x100 then withdrawals..

..and I never understood this SWIM nonsense.. Is typing up Someone who isnt me for short really going to help you in anyway ?.. even if you ever get into the worst trouble with the law.. theyre not going to bring in your posts on an internet forum as strong evidence against you in court lol... like typing up SWIM wouldnt protect your ass anyway if they really wanted to fry you.
