I saw him twice open up for deadmau5. I'll be at the Nov 12 show to see Dada Life with him. The guest DJ should be good too. I honestly don't like Skrillex. He has talent but his tracks all sound the same and he is horrible live. Anyways. I'm seeing him TWICE this weekend too. I'm surprised you aren't going to lolla or the PL late night friday. Gonna be a banger for sure.
 
yea chi i was trying to pm ya said your inbox was full lol.... how familar are you with the area around the congress theater....any good hotels near by ? also is the area pretty nice or is it ghetto?
 
I'm definitely down. You mean the Nov 12 show or this weekend? Congress area is fine, not ghetto at all. The actual theatre on the other hand... be careful in that place!
 
I saw Deadmau5 at soldier field and then in Detroit the next day. Then last year at the congress I saw him back to back with Skrillex in October. Both great shows. I also took a lot of mints though. I'll be seeing Deadmau5 this weekend again and will let you guys know how he is.
 
i was at the show also chitown... the green outside soldier.... that was a nice night :) it was a long drive back to green bay after the show though lol
 
Security is a bunch of thugs who WILL steal your shit if you aren't careful. I've seen people beaten up, and myself been pulled out of line in the bathroom and searched randomly with other people. I have been there probably 15 times in the past 6 months this year not on any drugs, and its no big deal... but I still see it happen to other people. The majority of people at the show are probably going to be kids (17-18 ) and I remember you saying you were a bit older so its no big deal but I was at a Disco Biscuits show with a buddy of mine who is 40 and he got all of his pills stolen at the door. I have been strip searched at this place for an empty cellophane!
 
Besides the security I think its a decent place to see a show. I would rather catch a DJ at the MID or vision though. Even spybar.



EDIT: That was a great show. I was at spybar downtown til really late that night and it felt like honestly the entire city just left the mau5 show and was rolling. Incredible night.

damn that sucks... im not worried though about shit getting jacked . i ll have my buddy with me so im not worried... im a mellow guy so im sure security will leave me alone since i wont be acting like a douchebag lol they pull you out of line in the bathroom?.,,, damn.. what was their reason? they allow cameras in there? also.. any motels near by?
 
Not sure if they allow cameras I think everyone is just using phones. One time they honestly just pulled me and the few people around me out of line and searched our pockets lol. Another time they searched my friend and found a joint in his wallet because I was talking to him and he had his hands in his pocket lol. I was like "I came with this guy..." . Guess they thought he was selling me stuff. If you've never been there you will definitely see what I am talking about, it gets pretty ridiculous. They tend to leave 21+ alone most of this stuff happened when I was 18. Not too long ago but 3 years can make a difference in how you act.
