You better want to be a part of reality, because you will need a job, a house and food everyday to be alive. You don't need to give in to the corporate stuff, the commercials, the brainwashing, but you better know how to provide for yourself, and that IMO requires being part of this reality and I think taking the psych lifestyle too far renders you incapable of doing this. Props for turning your life around though Folley but I still believe that drugs shouldn't be used to help psychological problems..

Who says I NEED a job? Why must I be a part of the system? There are other options...

If I really wanted to I could save up a few thousand dollars, buy a gun, ammo and other equipment then build a house out in the woods and make my life off hunting and trapping. Thousands of people do that...

I mean, obviously I plan on staying in civilization but I don't really plan on wasting my life sitting behind a desk for 60 years so I can retire when I'm 80. You can do anything you want with your life, it's your life... you don't just have to do what you've been programmed to do for the past 20 years, there's other options as well.

That's not WHY I use them lol, a side-effect of the drug just happens to be that it can fix many of the emotional problems that were keeping me down for no reason. That one mushroom trip that changed my life, I just went into that trying to have fun lol. That's not what happened, however.

I know this isn't really relevant to the current conversation but I felt the need to let you guys know that I am cutting back on rolling a lot. The reasons?

Well for one I've been rolling on average about once ever 45 days, but more recently just under a month (27 days :( ). Even with this slightly higher than the "minimal" waiting period I have started to notice a few of the negative effects of mdma, it's been very minimal I must say though. I felt the need to explain this because of the classic "Is one month really enough?" debate that you see pop up every now and then here in ED.

The second reason is that my rolling buddy is starting her prescription of Prozac in the new year meaning she will not be able to roll. To me this is a big one, she has only been rolling since August (I was with her for her first time) and have rolled with her every time since then except once. I could not imagine rolling without her now.

Lastly, the biggest reason, is that last night I witnessed a friend of a friend of mine doing 1.5g+ of "100% pure mdma" (those were his exact words). This just made me super uncomfortable and honestly sick to my stomach. Not only did he do 1.5g in one night he had also done mdma 4 times this week, and many more times in the past few weeks. Now this guy also gave 2 other of my friends some mdma in which they both gladly snorted knowing little of the affects or any knowledge of the chemical itself. He also was going on about how pure mdma had "no hangover whatsoever" and that it is not bad to do it more than once a month which I told him it was. This to me seemed super irresponsible and honestly upset me. Now I had been drinking and wasn't thinking straight so I felt the need to tell one friend in particular how "F**cking stupid" he was for snorting an unidentified substance after I saw him tweeking out which only made his experience worse.

Sadly said friend has sworn to never try mdma again because he had a terrible first experience with whatever substance he snorted so he will never truly experience the magical feeling we all know as rolling but hey, maybe that's for the better?

Anyways those are my reasons for cutting back on mdma, for me I just can't handle watching people abuse mdma in front of me, it just makes me sick. I'm thinking about rolling once every 4-6 months now or maybe even less. I think I might even carry this over to other drugs (mainly alcohol, I rarely smoke pot as it is) and take a nice long break to rid my body if any toxic substances. I think the main reason I will roll again is when my rolling buddy goes off her meds once every 4-6 months to enjoy a good roll herself. As of now my last planned roll will be on boxing day for a event. Wish me luck!

I just felt the need to throw this out there, this isn't a "I abused mdma, what do I do!?" kind of post, it's more to inform a new user that one month might not be long enough like others say it is as I have been noticing some negative effects. This also isn't a post to try and make mdma look like a terrible drug because it has helped me out in so many ways! It has really triggered a change in me to be more social and talkative which I really hope stays once I abstain from its use. It has also brought me closer to my best friends, specifically my rolling buddy. :)

Also if you have had any similar experiences of things that have turned you off from mdma use let me know! I'm interested to hear others stories!

- Mr.MDxx :)

Yeah Mdxx I've noticed some side effects even when I'm using once every 2 months! Slightly more anxious, easily upset etc. The dealbreaker for me is school. It's when I have to pay attention to some pretty complicated stuff that I really notice I've been rolling too often. The weeks after I can't hold information at all and my short term memory is just out of wack. I can't just roll a weekend here and there now, so I pick the days where I know I have a holliday of a week after..

Well, you can just use it sensibly yourself, i am in similiar boat as yourself mr Md.

not everyone will want to listen. barely anyone will

Because you get over serotonin down regulation faster if you avoid all drugs and alcohol.

Once a month is generally regarded as OK only because E Tards couldn't conceive of waiting any longer lol

In reality though, hell no that's not long enough to recover from such inherent neurotoxicity. You can get away with it for a while, but eventually you're going to have to take that longer break that actually gives you plenty of time to grow new axons and repair the damage done... which can take up to three months or longer to even start the process...

It's been 6 months since I've rolled though, I really need a night out lol :p

All my mdma space outs in a nutshell: 5weeks, 8weeks, 1.5weeks, 2.5weeks, 3weeks. I've had a good week or two of comedown on my last one. Average dosage: 144mg

The last one, when I woke up from a few hours of sleep, I felt like someone literally blown my brain out, I just crashed back and slept all day long. Followed by a good 5-6days of depression, irritated, paranoia, antisocial etc. I just felt like the whole world was against me, heck I had some suicidal thoughts too... pretty scary. Plus, the fact I gave my # to a security guard at the venue due to rolling to hard and him harassing my phone ever since (probably thinking I'm some kind of dealer?) didn't help in my recovery.

I'm taking a good 6 weeks of break till NYE.

I noticed horrible comedowns started after my 2.5weeks space out.

From personal experience, even 3 weeks isn't enough... but you can get away with it once or twice if you have previously spaced them out very nicely.

IMO anything over 2 months is being a safety maniac, all you need to do is eat healthy (stuff high in L-Tryptophan), exercise, get sunlight, lots of sleep (sleep is the number one form of recovery) and freshair.

Do you have any source that says they DON'T contain DMT?
come on folley, not this nonsensical 'russel's teapot' debate technique again...

your post claims that you've tried dmt because you've tried shrooms. i do not believe it's common knowledge that shrooms contain dmt, so i'm just inviting you to back up a simple claim with a little evidence. if shrooms do contain dmt, it should be a very straightforward exercise for you to do so.

That was a legitimate question of mine, I assumed since you called me out you had knowledge otherwise.... seems you just called me out to call me out :\

if you'd like to understand the philosophy behind why my request that you do so is perfectly legitimate and your counter request has no standing please refer to the link i gave you or read bertrand russell.

you made a claim. i invite you to please back it up. if you can't (or won't), please withdraw it or at very least admit that you're speculating/fabricating.

Living cells also contained low concentrations of GHB. So we're always on GHB and DMT.

There are trace amounts of drugs everywhere. The money you hold probably was held by a drug dealer at one point.

Isn't DMT found in like, every living plant and animal? In extremely low concentrations of course...
it's common knowledge, i believe that it is found in most, if not all, living animals.

it's not common knowledge - as far as i understand - that it's found in every living plant which is why i asked you such a very, very simple question.

it's mind-boggling to me that you should be so offended when you're simply asked to back up a claim with some proof. it's such an innocuous request and anybody who was confident in their case would, i propose, embrace the chance to demonstrate that what they're saying has some basis in fact...

:\

I wasn't offended by the original question at all, in fact I responded with quite a calm and non-aggressive question asking if you had any knowledge otherwise...

Now it seems that you don't, and simply saw an opportunity to call me out on a rather trivial thing. I would love to continue this discussion with you, but please.. drop the personal shit :)

Now that I have some time on my hands I'll see about finding a source for that, I found a rather sketchy one another time when we were discussing this topic but it didn't do a very good job of showing anything. Maybe I'll find something, maybe I won't even look.. it's rather low on my list of priorities today.

again: russell's teapot

you see it as me calling you out over a trivial thing. you're entitled to your opinion.

i think that basing our discussions on facts, supporting our claims with substantiation and demonstrating that we're basing our hr not on speculation and fabrication are far from trivial. for me, it goes to the very heart of what hr should be about. maybe it's trivial to you but it's important to me. i'm more than happy to agree to disagree.

if somebody on bluelight makes a claim, it shouldn't be a crime to ask them to back up that claim with substantiation. it should be encouraged and embraced. when somebody then responds with "well you prove it's not true", and can't or won't do so, that speaks directly and loudly to the veracity of their claim.

it's painfully obvious that substantiating the erroneous, speculative and fabricated claims you make in the forum is low on your list of priorities and that devalues your potentially useful contribution here to a great extent. there's nothing personal about this - i have no idea who you are, i only have your forum posts. if you're content to contribute in this way, i will do my job and continue to point it out.

Honestly after seeing this guy snort 200mg+ rails of "mdma" the thought of doing it makes my stomach turn. I'm just glad that the few friends of mine came to me first about trying mdma before the e-tard got to them. It's honestly hard trying to control a group of people to not do it when it's right in front of them, it got to the point were I said, "If you really want to snort an unidentified substance then be my guest, you know the consequences of abusing mdma. Make the right choice." Luckily they all agreed not to do it seeing how we all rolled 2 nights prior to that night.

Once a month is generally regarded as OK only because E Tards couldn't conceive of waiting any longer lol

I couldn't agree more. Well when I first found this site it seemed like everyone was preaching "wait one month between rolls" more than saying, "wait three months between rolls". So after going through this site a good year ago I sorta assumed one month was fine, it wasn't until more recently, when I joined as an active member, that I discovered that in reality three months should be the proper waiting time.

So for people who are just passing through looking for a quick answer I really think that posters should make it clear that one month may be okay for one or two times waiting but in reality you should wait three because you will start to notice the negative effects of mdma pretty quick. I for one can testify this, I've only recently started rolling again (Since August) after taking a six month break followed by an eight month break and in four months rolling four times I've started to notice some negative effects.

Now for me it is easy to just stop, I find I have great will power and know when to through in the towel. But for others I can see how it would be quite hard to just quit.

I'm just happy to know I got one last roll planned out with 3 close friends where we can all enjoy the music we love together :). Might as well go out with good vibes, good people, and good tunes right?

^ Take that experience to heart and make it your responsibility to tell people one month breaks aren't enough ;)

It's the people that have been through it that have the most advice to give.

Oh, and I did find a few sources saying that DMT is contained in mushrooms in higher amounts than in other plants... but I myself doubt the validity of those sources, and wouldn't want to post anything other than a chemical analysis of the mushroom to show that it had DMT in it
